When I first walked in I was so impressed, the hotel is very opulent and the staff are very welcoming, then you walk into the room that was very nice but a bit flat after the grandeur of the surroundings . The thing that let it down the most was the breakfast, we were a party of 14 celebrant nephews wedding, we all ordered and then waiting ages for any food to appear, when it did they had no idea who had ordered what and it was absolute chaos, my haddock was a least 5 minutes overcooked and my poached eggs were rock hard, most disappointing.

We had a lovely stay here for 2-night New Year's break which included New Year's Eve celebrations. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Rooms comfortable and well appointed. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Food was delicious, our package included breakfast and dinner on both days and afternoon pastries on the day of our arrival.
We used the indoor pool and spa which made for a relaxing hour or so before getting ready for New Year's Eve.
On a couple of occasions we were left waiting for quite a while at dinner for wine after our meal was served and then coffees at the end - there seemed to be a little disorganisation but this was swiftly rectified.
The Grand retains it's timeless elegance and appeal along the seafront, we hope this continues to be the case for many years to come!

Beautiful hotel. Large rooms (we had a sea view). Very attentive courteous staff. Food in both the Lounge and the Mirabelle restaurant very good. Live music in the lounge every Friday and Saturday but this tends to be 50s / 60s Jazz style with opportunity for ballroom style dancing (not to everyone's taste). Free parking. Great location 10mins walk from the pier. The prices are quite expensive but recommended.

Exceptional service, exceptional rooms the concierge team are incredible. Lots of hotels have 5 star facilities but actually staying in a 5 star hotel is something else. There are the little things, the bed, the linen all the nice touches.

Amazing hotel. You really feel special when you stay at the Grand in Eastbourne. Particular shout out to the front of house staff (concierge, porter, waiter at breakfast, waitresses at high tea) who went out of their way to look after us. The room was super comfortable, the bar and lounges are wonderfully elegant. Only watch out is that prices are not cheap, so if you are planning a few drinks in the bar, expect a 5* bill. Most important question, would we return? Without a hesitation, yes. Thank you to the staff at the hotel, my wife and I have added some wonderful memories as a result of your excellent work.

Sorry grand back for the first time since COVID and your standards have dropped a bit. Watching a less abled person trying to struggle up the stairs with a walking frame and having to find a member of staff to help is not good for a five star hotel. Slopped entrance was looked... no offer of news paper anymore and no one explained to us that the breakfast setup had changed.. ummm.. spa pool area is looking very shabby and really needs a coat of paint... Still we love this hotel and hope these issues are work in progress. Also on a note appears you can just walk straight into the pool and spa area without anyone asking if you are staying at the hotel or have even paid to use the facilities... This is a concern that needs urgent attention... Another note we had been out for a walk and came back to chill in the lounge and every seat/table was reserved for afternoon tea... Not a single seat to relax in....

Wonderful old world charm close to the beach at Eastbourne, this five star hotel is a magnificent Edwardian building. Staff and service is seamless and the standard of catering very high.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was a reasonable size and had good bathroom with bath. Lots of decent tea and coffee supplies and toiletries. Bed was very comfortableandi had a good night's sleep on both nights. The room was situated to the back of the hotel so no sea view but a window out to Eastbourne.
Spa facilities are adequate with a small indoor pool, hot tub and steam room. Didn't try any treatments so cannot comment.
We had a decent breakfast both mornings with plenty of choice and good service. I also had an extravagant hot chocolate and a couple of scones in the lounge one afternoon. Staff are very warm and friendly which makes all the difference.
Very happy with my stay and I would return.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Eastbourne for the weekend.
On the Ground Floor it was all decorated for Christmas.
I had room 131 which was a deluxe sea view room.
The room was nice and spacious.
It had a kettle and a Nespresso machine.
In the shower it had these soap dispensers on the wall.
However it was not clear at first what dispensed what as the writing on the dispenser was the same silver as the dispenser.
The Garden Restaurant was out of action as they were refurbishing it.
We had to eat breakfast elsewhere in the Hotel.
On Monday it was quite difficult to find where the breakfast was being served.
I had a meal in the Mirabelle Restaurant and the food was delicious as usual.
All the staff that I met were all so friendly and helpful. When I say that I am of course including all of the boys and girls that we do not see without whom the Hotel would not run so smoothly.
Special mention should be made for the all bar staff.
Message to management, look after them they are all good.
I mainly ate in the bar and the food was delicious.
I will not be going back down to the Grand Hotel Eastbourne until the New Year.

It’s a nice hotel. Staff are friendly and overall we had a nice stay. Lots of nice armchairs to sit around in and there’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Dinner and breakfast is fine. Enjoyable but not memorable and would give it a 3/5. The bar is nice and the staff were friendly there too. The room was nice but it would be good to have a fridge. I don’t understand how it has 5 stars but the room rate was reflective of the stay I think. We got a winter deal which made it reasonable overall. £16 for a cocktail was a lot higher than London prices. The pool area needs some renovation too. I cut myself on a ragged tile in the pool itself.
I’m giving it a 4 because overall it was a lovely stay.

Exceptionally polite and super-helpful staff in all areas. Could not fault. The food was excellent - all meals of the day. Location great. Parking is not a problem and on arrival you are warmly greeted. Excellent Christmas 4-day stay.

Stayed there for a long weekend with our dog and had a great time in this property. It’s an outstanding building located in front of the beach and next to the center.
Pros: dog friendly, great service, great location, great property, good breakfast
Cons: dog friendly rooms are the outdated ones and the beds are small even though king size but still felt small. Mattress was very bouncy as well. We had dinner and it wasn’t great food so recommend eating elsewhere.

We tour spas as a hobby. The spa days here are great, treatments feel amazing. Can't wait to book again. Afternoon tea was delicious and we wanted for nothing thanks to the incredibly helpful staff. The spa itself looks a little dated in places but overall the experience was worthy of the 5*'s

Went for an afternoon tea for 2 with my mother-in-law and had an amazing time we were relaxed. Wonderful food, wonderful service, wonderful music and we didn't want to leave and he was opposite the sea. And thank you to all the stuff that looked after us. I would look forward to going back again. This is a 100% great place for an afternoon tea with someone special

I was treated to afternoon tea at the Grand. I have been there before and the service was of the same high standard. The food was delicious. A variety of sandwiches on different types of fresh bread, delicate little cakes and fresh scones with jam and clotted tea. A wonderful afternoon.
