Amazing hotel from outside and inside. It looks like a royal palace and the personal it was so attentive. The rooms quite clean, spacious and comfortable.
The Spa was clean and so beautiful. The tub didn't have many bubbles but it was pleasant.
The included breakfast was delicious. Good quality products and good coffee. The downsize is that I was charged £3 extra for a latte coffee which is a bit ridiculous but apart of that all perfect 👌

Such a nice hotel. I come here every year and they never fail to disappoint. Breakfast is lush and the pastries are just amazing. The pools are absolutely amazing. I 100% recommend to anyone who wants to visit Eastbourne. It is also so close to the beach and the high street.

For this area of Eastbourne it's a pretty decent Hotel. It's clear that money has been spent on the entrance lobby to give a good first impression and I hope that there's more money available to be spent on bringing all of the rooms up to the standard that you would expect from a hotel that purports to be of this quality.
Room was nicely furnished and quite comfortable although some of the Furnishings did look the worse for wear but overall quite happy with the night I spent. I didn't eat in the restaurant but reviews seem to have it as being pretty decent. Staff friendly and helpful but parking can be difficult.

Breakfast at The Grand Hotel was a real treat! The food was really fresh and tasty. Actual honeycomb available too. I have never seen that at that at any Hotel.
Only drawback was the service. They were rather slow. I had booked a table, but had to wait for it to be made ready. The plates were not cleared away, we had to put them on a free table after waiting for the servers to clear them
Tea, coffee and toast were really slow to be bought out. We had had our cereals and went to get our hot breakfast before they were bought to the table.
My father-in-law had worked at the Hotel as a bar manager for 31 years and when I made the booking, I made them aware it was his Birthday treat and he was a former employee, but no extra effort was made for him. Rather disappointed by the service received.

Beautiful hotel if a little tired, impeccably clean and the service we received throughout our stay was excellent. However, the food let's this hotel down considerably, not sure how it can maintain its 5*. The presentation of the food looks good but there is no taste very bland, the breakfast was fine but nothing more than a regular chain 3 to 4* hotel. We also took afternoon tea, very mediocre, for the slight extra price you pay in 5* London hotels this was way below par. Such a shame, we had a lovely stay but would not return for this reason.

Staff were very happy and respectful, also had afternoon tea, which was it's only let down
All the sweets were different so we had to cut them and share as we didn't want the other person to miss out.
One other thing was the indoor pool area, I know they are limited on space but there were not enough beds or chairs or hooks to but towel on.

Had a spa day with a great friend. Fantastic treatment, gorgeous food and unlimited tea! Really friendly and helpful staff. Great experience but could do with decor/changing rooms being updated as they're a little tired. Treatment rooms very modern and a stark contrast. Best thing is there's limited pjone service so my kids couldn't mither me!! 😂

The Grand Hotel is a lovely and old style hotel. It is kept in good condition and has delicious breakfast. I went there to watch Eastbourne air show and they gave us a room with a balcony so we could see all the planes. It has a very nice heated indoor and outdoor pool along with a jacuzzi, gym, steam room, sauna and lots of other facilities.
If you like hotels that are made too include vintage style things like tall ceilings, red carpet and four poster beds then I would definitely recommend this for a holiday.

The service from all the staff was exemplary, from the greeting at the front door to the welcome at the reception. The serving staff always went out of their way to ensure that we had a fantastic stay, making us feel as though we were the most important people in the hotel.
The room impresssed us as we walked in, with the spotless bathroom on show which was fully equipped with a bath and shower to the built in wardrobe and safe. Walking past these was the spacious double bedroom with a gloriously clean queen sized bed, which was very comfortable. The room was equipped with both a coffee machine and kettle and a reasonable size TV with normal free to air channels.
The hotel is situated close enough to town to let you walk down, or to the beach and close enough to the South Downs to let you walk to Beachy Head. After all the walking it was good to come back and enjoy either the outdoor or indoor pools, along with the jacuzzi, steam room or sauna.
We found the food at the hotel to be exquisite, offering two fabulous restaurants, which have a dress code to more relaxed dining in the lounge offering light snacks, sandwiches and salads. We would fully endorse using the restaurants as the food and the service is excellent.

Lofty lounges and terrace.(With swimming pool) to take refreshments in, all carry the 5* charm snd elegance of the past into the present. Very lsrge executive bedroom... had dressing area as well.. With the bay window overlooking the sea front was decorated with pale yellow chintz. Thick carpet and wood furniture. Beautiful linen. Scrupulously clean bathroom. We were greeted by concierge who directed the parking. Service was second to none and in the dining room where we ate delicious food beautifully cooked. Extensive fine wine list.

Fantastic service, food and ambience. Expensive - yes, but we're of the age where we really appreciate good food we would find hard to create at home. e.g. my pud was a celebration of apple: apple ice cream, apple cake, apple shard, apple biscuit etc. Utterly amazing and very delicious! It's our 'special occasion' place that we save up 'specially for.

Truly Grand. More adaptation for dog food. We have a very small dog but received dry food for a Great Dane.at £20 a night for dogs I would have expected more. However, room and overall service great.

The Grand Hotel Eastbourne is an 5* hotel with quality rooms, some with great views of the sea front, excellent bar and restaurants. It is not cheap to stay there but well worth it when you get the chance - for example for a long weekend.

Fantastic hotel, not the cheapest but worth it. The main restaurant 2 and 3 course dinners are really good. Ate there 5 out of 6 nights and different dishes every night.

Super upmarket location in Eastbourne. For accommodation, a night out, a fancy meal, or an afternoon tea, or a corporate function. Right across the road from the sea front. With parking available.

Ambience and service - 5 stars, dinners - 3.9 stars as the menu was repetitive and the food wasn't always fresh. There is also a 10% service charge on top of all food and drinks.
