This is a fantastic hotel, with excellent service and food. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It has great facilities and the location is perfect for walking near the sea and countryside. We keep returning!

My wife worked at this Hotel back in 1984-1986 and had visited once for afternoon tea even tho we only live in Seaford a 10 minute drive from the Hotel and she works in Eastbourne , I decided to treat her to a Valentine surprise an overnight stay at her perfect hotel , to say she loved it is an understatement and even some of the staff she worked with are still there the main one being the now General Manager who was a duty manager at the time of her employment.
Thank you

Not up to expectations. Strong paint smell on our bedroom floor (First), and hammering from above bedroom at 8.15 on departure morning. Guests should be prior to visit informed of any work to be carried out

The Grand is a beautiful hotel & restaurant a couple of hours drive from London. In a perfect, location on the coast, with an imposing facade and olde world charm it is a perfect place to stay on the South coast. The staff are attentive and helpful and the public areas elegant and imposing. We ate in the Mirabelle restaurant and had the tasting menu, which was well presented and delicious.

The public areas are delightful and the bedrooms tastefully decorated.

The Grand is definitely the best hotel in the area and if we return to Eastbourne in future we would certainly stay there again.

During a conference from our company we needed to evacuate another location and were lucky that we ended up in the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne: We contacted the hotel about 12 hours prior to our arrival, and we needed about 60 rooms.

The staff adjusted very fast to our requirements, we felt very welcome from the moment of our arrival, and got the support that made the conference a success.

The hotel is just phantastic. Just look at the photos in the internet.

I just want to say this is an absolute wonderful hotel. We had to relocate a works conference here at the last minute, and the facilities and in particular the staff we're just outstanding. Quality of the rooms, food, drinks and a natural attention to detail. I will definitely return shortly with my wife for a weekend treat. Thank you so much team Grand hotel. Special shout out to James Pearce, Steve, Edwards.....

I could not have asked for a better experience to treat my beautiful wife. From first contact with the reservations to leaving it was all and more than we expected. The service was 2nd to none, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and the whole stay was pure luxury.

I was staying as part of a special event. Service was superb as always. I was upgraded to a suite which was enormous for a single person. Staff were efficient and friendly and happily did anything you asked. Of course you pay for what you get.

We stayed for a romantic weekend. We were looking forward to using the spa but were very disappointed when we walked into the basement to find a small pool with loungers and 6 chairs! No one had anywhere to relax ,! Treatments are expensive but they dont really reflect the SPA experience that you would expect.

Food in the Mirabelle was lovely and staff were great.

I wouldnt go for a relaxing girlie weekend spa as just not big enough.

My friend and I took advantage of the 2 for 1 deal and had a relaxing spa weekend
the hotel Although slightly faded in places there is still the air of luxury expected
The suite was well appointed but a shame there was no balcony
The pool was lovely and warm but loungers very uncomfortable
Atmosphere in Garden restaurant lovely - especially with piano player

Treat yourself and try afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel on the seafront. The food was fantastic and in lovely peaceful surroundings. The sandwiches and cakes were very fresh and full of flavour. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite.

A Cullen Skink soup is a white creamy soup with cream, milk, & pieces of Haddock. It is NOT a watery vivid green pea soup. We speak as Scottish people. Unbelievable. We were also somewhat dissapointed with the Mirabelle restaurant.

We stayed here for 1 night, had cream tea and dinner in their lounge, and has spa services. Food, service, and atmosphere was above average/very good. The only change I would recommend is in their spa area, to have a separate area for adults only or for spa guests to relax after a treatment. I did not enjoy sitting in the some-what tiny indoor pool area after my spa appointment with many children around, and at many points during the stay there were no available chairs around the pool.

We had a wonderful stay here, so much so we have already booked our next visit. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, the service was exceptional, and the little touches made all the difference, e.g. cookies and milk at bedtime for the kids. Highly recommend staying here, even if it is a bit pricey.

Not 5star despite what they say. Amenities, esp spa and gym, a bit tired. But good, honest place. Good service. Homely. Lovely building and well located. Also, not expensive! So all in all, not too bad and have stayed there a few times.
