LOVED it! If the baked eggs are still on the menu you HAVE TO TRY THEM! They also have vegan options available and this is another gem that shop locally. Great puddings available as well. And lots of alcohol.

Me and my friends had a splendid time, the food was delicious and catered to all of us as one of my friends was gluten free and is dairy intolerant. So the waitress was very helpful and explained most of the menu is gluten free and can be dairy free. The cocktails were delicious could of had more.

Met up with old friends at this new eatery in Eastbourne. Warm welcome and delightful, professional staff. Meal choices were made a week before the night to aid the restaurant. Great choices and very well prepared, cooked and presented meals. Loved the lamb shank, cooked perfectly. Good wine choices at reasonable prices. Can highly recommend and would definitely return. This restaurant has a really nice feel and ambiance to it.

Love this place, we have been here just for coffee ( the best in town), just drinks, lunch and on Friday we tried cocktails and food. Delicious The owners and staff are very friendly and attentive! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming Food is fabulous and they have vegan options and are flexible with non vegan options to make them vegan for us! Coffee is so smooth and made with Oatley Baristas for us and it is the best in Eastbourne as far as we are concerned. It is very local to us so will use again and again but very worth a visit.

Saturday night Dinner in this delight of a restaurant. Fantastic . Service top drawer and very welcoming and friendly. Food was tasty fresh and well cooked and presented with a varied wine and cocktail list . Will definitely visit again when back in Eastbourne. First class evening .

Skylark is now one of our favourite places to eat. We have had breakfast, coffee and cake and dinner there as a family with a toddler and as a couple. There is always a warm welcome and nothing is too much for them. Local produce is used in all their dishes and the menu is constantly varied and delicious! Highly recommend visiting.

A lovely restaurant with friendly staff and a good, relaxed vibe. Only two issues: I found the menu very limited and I struggled to order something. The other thing is that the service was so incredibly slow (we stayed more than 2 hours only for a main and a dessert) to the point that we couldn't wait to get out. Another customer had to get up to pay the bill since they seem to have forgotten him. I am sorry not to be able to give 5 stars, because you can see that they really put love and care in the cooking.

This newly opened restaurant was a real gem! The charming owner greeted us and made us very welcome.
The menu was short, but cooked to order and beautifully presented. Lots of vegetarian choices using local produce. I ordered the goat’s cheese salad and it was excellent. Richard thoroughly enjoyed a steak, it was cooked to perfection and a generous portion. Service was quite slow, but we were some of the last diners to arrive and we understood that we had to wait our turn. It was actually rather nice not to be hurried through, and we enjoyed our bread and olives (and ofcourse a bottle of wine) whilst we relaxed and waited for our supper.
We are visitors to Eastbourne, but were we to live locally we would return frequently. I should have loved to try some of the other dishes on offer.Prices are very affordable. - I highly recommend this restaurant .

Love come to Skylark, it's welcoming, clean and they use local businesses for majority if not all of their produce and you can tell the difference in their food quality. Today I had a BLT with delicious fries and an americano coffee. Wifi available so really good for small busines meetings. They also have a cute court yard garden that you can enjoy your visit.

It's difficult to add very much else to the great reviews this restaurant gets. But, since opening it has also become one of our favourite places in Eastbourne. Have been many times for lunch and coffee and without exception have always received the same friendly welcome. We really like the fact that the food is sourced locally and it's provenance mentioned on the menu. It's cooked and presented in a way that shows how much this restaurant cares and respects the ingredients and it's customers. I'm sure it will continue to prosper.

I went to visit a friend in Eastbourne and we wanted to find somewhere for lunch. He recommended the Skylark and that's where we went. I'd driven down there from London in torrential rain and I hoped it would lift my spirits - and if you have read my other reviews, you'll know that I won't even eat in a restaurant unless I feel welcome when I enter. The Skylark passed that one with flying colours! The waiters are charming and attentive and the place is spotlessly clean - hence their top '5' rating on the government's Food Hygiene website.
As for the food, I can only repeat the verdict of the other reviewers. We each had a wonderful meal; the food is freshly prepared, tasty and wholesome. The place is run by young people, all of whom are friendly and anxious to ensure that the diners feel at home - nothing is too much trouble for them and it's service with a smile. Not only do they deserve to succeed, but I hope that one day this will spawn a chain of other restaurants that all observe the same standards - young and devoted staff, wholesome fresh food and a big welcome when you walk in.The only slight reservation - and this is a positive one - is that the lunch menu only offers a single course. Naturally, when we questioned this, the waitress brought the full menu and said that we could order a starter and dessert from there. In that way, not only did I enjoy a starter but I also gave in to temptation and had a wonderful creamy coconut milk dessert that I am still dreaming about.
I now fell guilty; having written a really positive review, we might return to find the place packed and no room left for us - but then, if that tends to happen regularly, there might be other branches nearby where we might be luckier.Congratulations to all the staff - well done!

Having seen some reviews we decided to try for ourselves and weren’t disappointed at all. Excellent service and a great menu. The food was great and the ambiance chilled. Been to Skylark many times for Breakfast, never faulted this, so wanted to try dinner menu.
Glad we did, the service here is really good & consistent. We had the sharing starter and we each had the steak. It was cooked to perfection. The wine is also really good and well priced.

Had a couple of delightful brunches in the charming courtyard here on my annual trip to Eastbourne recently. Wonderfully polite staff and excellent food and drinks. We will be back!
