Princes Park is a lovely place to visit for a walk, go to one of the play areas or watch the swans and ducks in the pond. It is also just over the road from the sea front. We did meet some friends there recently and walking back through the park it was dark although only just gone 5pm. There isn't any lighting and we were walking around the edge of the pond so my only criticism, if you can call it that, would be to have some lighting. All in all, a lovely place to go.

A lovely place but in a state of disrepair, needs intensive attention, and works done to bring it up to scratch.

Given the impression we should have booked. Separate areas for people who booked and non booked, only intended to have coffee but had a tasty vegan burger. Manager friendly.

We made a stop at the tea room here when we were walking along the promenade and spent a couple of lovely hours watching the model regatta.

It's pretty good, nice big lake/pond and reasonable walkway which is paved with slabs so useable for prams/pushchairs.
Loads of seagulls, pigeons and ducks, all of whom will mob you if you start to feed them!
Could do with some more paved pathways

Having been coming here since the 1980s, but not in the last 10 years or so, I can see the huge amount of work that has taken this park from a windswept and rather dull environment, to a beautifully landscaped and cared for park with what the kids described as the best play area in town. The cafe was high quality too, and toilets were clean and well looked after. We had a picnic here, and it was more pleasent than Paris or any other parked area of europe.

We often go to Princes Park when the sea breeze is too strong on the promenade as it’s sheltered. It has a lake with up to 20 swans and ducks with a path right round the lake. There are plenty of seats all the way round to it’s always possible to find a sunny spot to relax, read a book or watch the world go by.
The seafront water sports centre give beginners lessons on the lake so it can be entertaining watching them learn in a safer place than the sea. There is also a café and toilets. There are also well kept gardens and a children’s play area.
Our last visit was yesterday.
