We popped in on our way to the panto and all had pizzas and pasta. Everything was superb and good value for money - waiting staff were fantastic. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Eastbourne.

We were staying at a nearby hotel that included this restaurant in its recommendations so we gave it a try. It was so good we went back the next night. What I do like about this restaurant is the fact that the waiters are proper professional waiters and not students earning some pocket money on the side. The service was excellent, the food good quality and the location just off the town centre, very good. I mentioned it to a family member who lives locally and the reply was, " It has a good reputation".

My family and I had a meal yesterday and it was delicious! The staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a large menu of pizzas, pasta etc and it is such a reasonable price.

I can't get enough of this restaurant. The food is always of a beautiful standard. The service is so quick, the staff are funny and attentive and the atmosphere is laid back. Just how I expect to feel in an Italian restaurant. Deeply impressed with this restaurant. Hense why I have returned so many times, whether it be with friends, family or for dates.

As you can see from my other reviews we've dined here a couple of times before. We had the great value lunchtime menu (check your hotel or B&B for 10% off vouchers) with, for me, Bruschetta and for my wife the garlic mushrooms. Don't forget to order bread as that really adds to the mushroom starter. We live in France so are used to being served bread as a given, in the UK you need to ask for it. We both then had the Sea Bream with crushed potatoes and the fish was cooked really well.
The staff are always welcoming and the owner greets you like a long lost friend. Adds to the ambience.

This was our 2nd visit to Pomodoro e Mozzarella, and both times the food and service was perfect. It feels as if the owners have really worked hard to get everything right, and the hard work has paid off. If anyone is visiting Eastbourne for the first time and fancy an Italian meal, it really is worth seeking out.

We wanted to pop out for a nice meal early on Saturday night. Only one table left, really busy but would we be waiting ages or would it be a nice evening. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere was buzzing but not intrusive, our waiting staff were very attentive and smiling all the time. We ordered a bottle of Pinot and it was very nice, chilled to perfection! We chatted for a while then our starters arrived, salmon with prawns and bruschetta, beautiful!! The waiting staff topped up our drinks when required. Our mains arrived, we both had Filet Steak, the best we have ever tasted!! Cooked to absolute perfection! We had the option of sweets, coffee etc but had no room! We will be returning in a fortnight! Truly Exquisite!!

We have family in Eastbourne and whenever we are there we try to squeeze in a visit to Pomodoro e Mozzarella. We have been visiting there for at least 9 years now and have always found the food and service to be superb.
In 2007 we even used for our wedding reception and most recently as a family get together on the eve of a funeral which was a last minute decision and they quickly accommodated 19 of us. The food is what I would consider to be traditional Italian and all very reasonably priced.
Combined with the excellent service it really is one that we will continue to use. A big thumbs up!

This restaurant has a lovely menu - I defy anyone not to find something to delight them! Our party of six loved the food, choosing delicious soups, pasta, risotto, chicken dishes and desserts from the extensive menu. The restaurant is buzzy, the service excellent. Highly recommended.

We had our first experience of dining at this restaurant at the weekend. We had a table booked early, for 6.30 but it was already very busy. A waiter seated us and brought our drinks very quickly and left us to browse the menu. I am not a fan of pizza or pasta but there were several very good fish and meat options to choose from. I opted for the sea bass fillets which were cooked to perfection as were the fresh vegetables which accompanied it. Our whole party of six were more than happy with their selections for both starters, main course and dessert. The banter of the waiters added to the ambience and it is certainly a restaurant to revisit.

Went with a group of 33 people which is a handfull. They managed it well. Good glutein free menu for my wife, excelent clam dish as a starter. Realy big dishes. The starter looked like a main course, which was fine since it was delicius. The decor could be more cosy.

Chose to visit this restaurant whilst in Eastbourne for the Airshow. My friend and I were seated straight away on the last available table, the restaurant was heaving! The waiter took our drinks order and left us to browse the menu. We decided on garlic bread each to start followed by a four cheese and mushroom pizza and a caramelized onion pizza which we shared half and half. The pizza was perfect! Thin base just how they should be!
Even though they were packed solid, we could not fault the service or quality of the food. Highly recommended!

We have often eaten at Pomodoro e Mozzarella, it is a reliably good restaurant with friendly and efficient staff, tasty food and a buzzing atmosphere. Especially good for special occasions, birthday meals and pre-theatre meals.

The food was amazing, and although the restaurant looked old the portions where large and at a good price. The presentation was stunning and the service was also quick and watching the pizzas being cooked was fun. I would definitely go back again.

Fab spaghetti but why not put something on table as one sits down. Bread pickles or olives. Just to say thanks for eating with us !!! It would make the place more welcoming and fill in the gap between sitting down and waiting for meal! Just takes a little touch to make somewhere special. Go to italy and Learn !!!!

I've been a few times now as we have family nearby. Never disappoints. Good selection. Well cooked. Well presented. Minestrone or aubergine starters are almost a meal in themselves. Grilled sardines have that just caught flavour... No real grumble- though the bottled Peroni beer seemed a tad expensive but I don’t usually buy it in a pub so I'm not sure of the hospitality price. Lots of busy staff always on the go - that tells you something is good about it. Went last a Saturday evening and we remarked 'recession-what recession?'The place was packed to the gunwales and the function room downstairs seemed to be at capacity. The very small number of negative comments could reflect a periodic 'slip' but I'm not so sure about that.If I had never been before I'd still be likely to try it because of the very high proportion of positive reviews.

Very buzzy vibrant restaurant. Lots to choose from on the menu and the food was lovely. Waiters helpful and happy to advise if you want something different.
Came here some years ago, it was good then and remains so. I was initially afraid it would be a bit like a Pizza express (and nothing wrong with those) but this restaurant is really so authentic you could be sitting in the sunshine of Italy as you enjoy your pre meal Prosecco! Can highly recommend.

This is our favourite Italian restaurant when visiting Eastbourne. You can always rely on the quality of the food and we have always found the servers friendly even when they are very busy. The menu is varied and we have enjoyed every dish we have tried.

Found this restaurant by looking at TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed.
We've been used to very good Italian restaurants where we used to live in Germany but have struggled to find a comparable one in the UK. Our search is now over.
Everything is really good from the welcome you get when you first arrive to the friendly "ariverderchi" (?) from the owner when you leave.
We enjoyed our first lunchtime meal here so much we went back the next day and had lunch again. We went for the 2-course lunchtime special both times and the choice was very good as was the quality. The first time we had sea bass and the fish was cooked beautifully. My only criticism was that it would have been nice to have had a crispy skin on the fish but apart from the that the food and the cooking of it was excellent. On our second visit I went for a pizza and was in two minds whether to order it or not as I like them thin & crispy and it's not often you get them like that in the UK. Again, no disappointment. The pizza was thin, crispy and very fresh, not to mention, quite large. I would have liked a green salad to go with it but, to be honest, I didn't ask the waiter if it was possible to do one for me. I suspect however it would have been possible.
All in all a great place to eat and if you're a student they have special lunchtime deals too if you can show your student card.
