We walked in and explained to the friendly lady at the counter that we had only 20 minutes to order, eat and pay as we had to be at the theatre by 7p.m. We asked if they would be able to help us and she said yes and led us to a table. We asked for a pizza neopolitana to share. This came in about 5 minutes. I was expecting one plate and two knives and forks, but they had cut the pizza in half and put each half on a separate plate. We ate it quickly, drank the drinks that had been brought over to us, and then I got up and paid the bill, which was already prepared. All that and with a smile. I liked the pizza (I think, although had to eat it so quickly I don't think I'm qualified to give an expert opinion.) Many thanks to all - and we did get to the theatre in time.

Visited yesterday with my husband and was overwhelmed firstly by the decor and not in a good way. Too much blue and yellow everywhere you look. We asked for a table for two and was asked if a window seat would be ok , before we had a chance to accept or disagree we were led to it anyway. The waiter gave me the impression we were taking up too much of his valuable time. The menu boasts that rhey cater for those with gluten allergies , which I do so I asked for a gluten free lasagne. The response I got to the request made me feel that I had just made the most outlandish request ever heard on the premises. I was half expecting my request to be met with the words "Don't be so preposterous! " My husband wanted to make up his own pizza from a variety of meat toppings which they accomodated until they brought the pizza over and we found his request had not been met at all. We sent the pizza back and by the time it arrived as required my lasagne was already half eaten. I scalded my mouth on the microwave warmed up pizza. How can I tell it was not fresh and warmed in a microwave? Simple ; sizzling on the outside and barely warm in the centre. For all this pleasure we paid the hefty sum of £28 , the only drinks we had was a glass of Coke at £2-10 and a bottle of water at three pounds a throw. So I brought mine home with me.At that price I would expect a set of tumblers to be thrown in gratis!!! Not impressed at all and won't be going back there.

We have eaten here before so we knew we were in for a good time and the team at Pomodoro did not let us down, we ate from the 3 course set menu which had plenty of choice and the quality of food was great. The homemade Lasagne was excellent and the Chicken Milanese was fab, big portions with plenty of flavour and very authentic. Make this restaurant a. Priority visit when in Eastbourne.

We go to this restaurant once a year when we are in Eastbourne. It is absolutely always reliable with very friendly staff, very fast service, good wholesome food. Best advised to book as we have never seen it when it wasn't choc-a-bloc. This year they honoured a tatty old 10% voucher from last year!

Brilliant! The best thing was the food and the service is friendly especially with children they always make you feel welcome. The price is a little expensive but it is worth it.
We have been to pomperdoro mozzarella many times before but last time was the best

We had an evening meal and it was good. It was well presented and good portions.
The price of the set menus was attractive with a good choice.
We would choose it again for a casual meal. It was very busy, a good sign.

Went here for the usual monthly after work wind down with the girls. We were all watching the pennies and not too hungry as it was only 5.30pm. We went for the smaller pizzas starting from £6 and a glass of wine. More than enough if you're not looking for a full blow out.
The pizzas were "about 8inches", as the cheeky Italian waiter pointed out with a slight smile. The whole atmosphere in there was like being on your summer hols with the bright blue and yellow décor.
Only criticism is that the rest of the menu seemed expensive, I think they could offer some more deals for the early bird, the restaurant was busy for the time of day but I think they could be full if they offered a deal for the earlier crowd. (Especially since it is so close to the theatre)Overall I would go back as the pizza was goooooooooooooood!!

Such a busy, friendly place to eat, gotta book although the restaurant space is massive. Very friendly staff, good fun and good food at very reasonable prices; ditto wine. Excellent value for money.

Returned twelve months after our first visit while on holiday in Eastbourne and enjoyed it just as much. This is our type of Italian restaurant quite noisy but a great atmosphere. There is a three course menu for £19- £20 which is great value. We found the portions generous and the service good.

This place is so popular that you really must book if you want to go. There are lots of tables but it is regularly full of families and couples who go time and again. It's noisy, busy and full of life so not the place for a romantic dinner. However, the food is very good - I usually have pasta and salad which are always excellent and their pizzas are very popular. Go for it!

A very good place to eat. Dropped in for a quick Sunday lunch. Food excellent and unlike many pizza places plenty of staff to take your order and delivery the food quickly.
Pizza as it should be – paper-thin and tasty toppings. Good value for money – the tennis was on in Eastbourne so was rather busy.Only disappointment was the lemonade, better quality products can be found. Overall worth its ‘excellent rating’.

we went here on Friday evening and it certainly has some atmosphere, could even be described as a little noisy. Service was very attentive and friendly and more importantly professional! food was very good as was the wine so all in all a good night. A good family restaurant ideal for families and friends probably not for the romantic meal for two due to the noise and buzz of the place.

Well my Mum & dad took me for my birthday treat. An Italian in Eastbourne. Hardly exciting I thought. But WOW!!
The Restaurant was well laid out, cloth napkins (important) and the table nicely set. We had professional waiters rather than a host of schoolgirls who mostly don't do a proper job!
The menu is vast........really. The wine list complimented that.
I had fillet steak and asked for cream spinach, mushrooms and fries. All were perfect!
The wine was uncorked at the table. Unobtrusive service, Lovely
Frankly, one of the best meals I have had for a long time. It was full and therefore the service suffered a little but happy to put up with that. 4 great starters, 4 superb main courses and 2 (shared) lovely puddings.
Just go. You will not be disappointed.

We were visiting Eastbourne just for 3 nights and ate here on the 2nd night, but we enjoyed the great food here so much we came back again the next night (our last night in Eastbourne).
I would highly recommend Pomodoro Mozzarella to any one who likes good food and a buzzing happy environment. The staff here are friendly but very efficient. Good food and good service, well done and thank you.

I had a wonderful evening. Thanks to Luca and his lovely friendly staff. Every detail catered for especially when I requested vegetables to replace the spaghetti with the veal. A truly lovely restaurant to experience time after time .

Good food, reasonably priced, close to theatres, wise to book as very busy. Been several times at different times of the year, they always keep their standards up.

I use this every other weekend when visiting my daughter who is 14 and mad on pasta and pizza. The food is good the staff are very friendly and the cost reasonable . It is by far the most popular eaterie in Eastbourne and can quite noisy at times . The owner Luca is a great host and always greets his regulars when he is there . The high usage and repeat custom from many of his customers is evidence of the consistently high standard of this place
