Dined here recently and the restaurant was very busy even on a Tuesday evening. It was a good thing that we had booked a table. Excellent food and the fixed price menus offered good value for money. Service friendly and efficient and we enjoyed our meal very much. Recommended.

My fiancé and I love this restaurant. We always have pizza and it is great. Service is good and quick too.

Pizza is the best in town and hard to beat anywhere.

For the price this is a really great restaurant

With a number of Italians in Eastbourne this is one of the best. A real family feel and they squeezed us in on a busy Friday evening when we hadn't booked. Great food for reasonable prices.

This is our favourite Italian restaurant, you just can't better it.
Three of us have just visited this Saturday lunch time and have a very lovely meal as usual, the food is displayed in a very artistic way with lovely design on the plate, just beautiful. The food is fresh and tasty as always and they have an excellent lunch time menu that you can view on line, it is extremely good value and not to be missed.
The staff are very friendly and have always looked after is well.Only a short walk from the town centre but well worth the effort.

No wonder this restaurant is always busy - we went as it opened at 5.30 because we were going to the theatre and it was practically full by 6pm (if you're going at a popular time better to book to be sure of a table).
The staff are very efficient and welcoming, taking orders and serving food speedily without making you feel rushed - quite an art. The food is fresh, well seasoned and tasty. My chicken Milanese was delicious as was the spaghetti accompanying it. Although the room was full, you do not feel crowded and the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. Looking round, I was struck by the different groups including older people such as ourselves; family groups and young people; all enjoying the restaurant and its food. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone visiting Eastbourne.

We went out on Bank Holiday Monday for a meal. We had not booked and the staff upon arrival were both welcoming and efficient. We sat and were given menus to peruse, many choices. Drinks were ordered and the red wine was not only very good but very reasonable. The food order was taken and the service was impressive and not at all rushed.. Food quality was excellent. Very pleasant evening and will return again soon.

Had a great evening here (Thursday) with three of my other girlfriends. All the staff are friendly and welcoming but we were particularly blessed with having Barbara as our waitress for the evening who was just simply lovely. It was mine and my friends birthday and we had the pleasure of all the staff singing "happy birthday" to us :). The food was good, served promptly and hot. Very, very reasonable prices for both food and wine. I mean, where can you get three courses for £12.50 these days? ! All in all, a good experience and I would highly recommend. We even got birthday cards!

Wonderful food - the monk fish in pink peppercorn sauce was fab. Friendly, attentive and professional service with lots of smiles - planned our next visit before we left.

We have had a short break in Eastbourne and visited this great Italian restaurant for dinner last night. It was very busy although a week day and the atmosphere was brilliant. A bit of a wait for the first course but understandable and we passed the time by having a glass of wine which was priced about the same as most others. We opted for the reasonably priced 3 course set meal and thoroughly enjoyed all the courses. Prawn salad for starters, sea bream for main and of course tiramisu for dessert with more glasses of wine. A really lovely meal for a reasonable cost and a great evening.
we will definitely go again when we next visit Eastbourne.

I've been here twice. Once in a group for a party, and once with a family visit.
For superb food with taste and good ingredients, it has an amazing value. Unlike it's brother next door, they do serve pizzas. They come pretty large, however the bases are thin and light, meaning the toppings are the highlight.
Great value for italian food. Great for families. Everyone's happy!!

We just happened upon this Restaurant and wow, what a find. Food fantastic, service fantastic, atmosphere fantastic, value for money excellent. We chose from the set menu and the food was superb and beautifully presented. We would highly recommend for any occasion, lots of families dining but also plenty of couples too.

What a find! The restaurant was busy early eve but quietened down 9pm ish (we ate there twice in 4 days) - it was SO good to find GF diet catered for as the norm! Homemade pizza to order with delicious toppings and all served quickly and with a friendly smile and welcome.
The restaurant is not a 'intimate' type of place - more one that you would perhaps meet friends, family or colleagues for a get together...plain cream walls with modern abstract art didn't really give it any 'feel' or atmosphere but its simply is that sort of place. I enjoyed seeing the food being prepared in the live kitchen - always a good thing for me. When it got quiet the staff polished glasses and plates - again, always a good sign.
Easy to find, welcoming - can be a bit noisy when busy - but altogether great - we'll go back when next in Eastbourne. Thank you for my first ever real gluten free pizza and profiteroles - delicious!

I have been coming to this Restaurant for many years and i still enjoy the food every time i visit. The waiting staff are always welcoming and the service is excellent. The range of dishes is fantastic so there is something for everyone as all styles of Italian dishes are served here. It is the perfect place to eat for adults and children alike.

Fantastic food, surroundings and service.
Calamari starter was generous and almost perfect, just very slightly tough.Fillet medallions in peppercorn sauce was divine and although full I forced down a light and delicious tiramisu.
My only criticism was the restaurant was very hot.We had the most amazing olives and rosemary bread too wish I would whole heartedly recommend.
Very large menu, my colleagues have eaten there many times and have never had a bad meal.

We've been coming to Pomodoro since we moved to Eastbourne 14 years ago. We've tried other pizza restaurants, but keep coming back for the real deal. the pizzas and pasta are both excellent and authentic - and are the main reason for coming here. Other dishes on the menu are good, but perhaps not as impressive. The two course deals are good value and the children's menu is great for pre-teens as the portions are still good size. I personally think the service is excellent - staff are always polite, professional and attentive, with active, involved management. If your table has a birthday, you can order a 'special' desert with candles and the waiters will sing Happy Birthday! Highly recommended.

With 4 friends we went to this restaurant restaurant for dinner, prior to going to the theatre.
We arrived just before 6pm and were served with pre-dinner drinks and had our orders taken. The starters arrived fairly quickly, but as the restaurant filled up the service noticeably slowed. Most of our main courses arrived though it seems that they had forgotten mine as only five dishes turned up. After a wait of a few minutes, my main course duly appeared and everyone enjoyed their main course. There was then a delay before our plates were cleared, after which we waited for the dessert menus. These finally appeared, but after having chosen our desserts we were unable to attract the attention of any of the waiters to place our orders; it appeared that the number of waiters had reduced over the duration of the meal, and my suspicion is that some of them had been moved into La Locanda del Duca, the sister restaurant next door where a private event was taking place.
As time was moving on and we needed to be at the theatre for a 7.45pm performance, we eventually gave up on dessert and coffee and, after some waving managed to attract the attention of a waiter for the bill.It is a shame that what could have been a delightful meal (again, I emphasise that the food was good) was made less so by what appeared to be a lack of staff.

This is the BEST PIZZA/PASTA restaurant in the South East of England. We stumbled across this by walking along the backs of the seafront one evening. We saw it was packed and I spied the open oven being fed homemade pizzas on view. I knew this was the real deal. We were not disappointed. Great Saturday evening atmosphere with a Hen Party, Birthday party, tourists, locals and Italian ex-pats. Despite the queue, we didn't have to wait that long. Mike, our Czech waiter was great fun. It took me five guesses to figure out his country of origin, going from lukewarm to hot...DO not miss this gem of a place, straight out of Italy

This restaurant was recommended to us by the manager of the hotel we were staying in Eastbourne, The Langham. We found it to be ok but nothing to write home about. The food is quite nice and the staff are very friendly and efficient; the place is over lit and consequently lacks ambience. We had a nice evening there, but wouldn’t go back.

We had a late lunch here on Easter Monday. The restaurant wasn't full but had a nice buzz about it. Pizzas are made in an open kitchen and were absolutely amazing; thin base and just the right amount of topping. The kids' menu was great too and our 5 year old son really enjoyed the whole experience. Lovely, unobtrusive service and absolutely delicious food all round. Happy Easter:-)

We chose this restaurant on the recommendation of others but found the place lacking in ambience and more like a work canteen with rows of diners, bright lights and it was very noisy. We had a table next to the service entrance by the kitchen but this was also next to the toilet entrance. The waiters were very busy and in and out constantly which was frustrating even though they were very attentive and pleasant during the service of our table.
The food was mediocre and lacked flavour but was reasonably priced at £50 for the two of us, 3 courses and a couple of drinks each. Use your theatre vouchers for 20% off if you have them. Wouldn't go back I'm afraid even though we are Eastbourne residents.
