No problem with getting a table quite late. Staff very quick to respond to your requirements. Whitebait starter nicely cooked and very crispy..steak was perfect for main...only disappointment was that when I asked for bread....a plate of supermarket french sick arrived which had been sliced up and not a traditional ciabatta or Foccocia....only let down otherwise smashing..thank you.

I don't like going out much to dine as I always expect nice food and great service which is very hard to find unfortunately.
But since pomodoro opened I have always had an outstanding experience in both service and food, whether its been extremely busy or just busy(it doesn't ever seem to be quiet)! Highly recommend it for large family get together or intimate meal.Fantastic value as well, can not praise it enough. Big thank you to all the staff who make it what it is.

We went in for a late afternoon meal. The food was good - bruschetta to share and then spaghetti with meatballs and penne with spicy sausage. Good value but the service was mega quick - I was still chewing the last mouthful of bruschetta. Well worth a visit.

This large and very popular restaurant was very busy when we arrived for dinner. We were given a table for two at the back of the restaurant between two large groups - they got the priority and our service was definitely lacking.
Food, however, was really good. Our shared ante pasto to start was particularly good. Mains of Calzone and spaghetti carbonara were also good.
I'd consider going back for the food, but I'd not choose this restaurant if it was overly busy.

my partner and I went in and had a meal on Saturday night 8ish was seated by the window in the corner,we normally eat next door and have never complained ,but this side is not a patch on next door the service was really bad I complained .and the young couple seating next to us was just starting to complain when we was leaving.but the food was nice .just spoilt the evening.

Mostly we check on trip advisor before visiting any restaurant but we had visited here as a snap decision as the restaurant we had intended visiting was closing. How grateful we were that the other had closed! This Italian is fantastic value offering a 3 course menu for under £12, and the food on the menu being of a very high standard. I must especially mention the Tiramasu, not normally a favourite of mine, I ordered it after seeing others eat it and was not disappointed, real strong coffee taste that you don't normally get.
The service was very good, my younger daughter had ordered a Hawiian pizza but asked for chicken instead of ham as she doesn't eat pork products, the pizza came with both ham and chicken, we said It wad ok we would take it off, but they insisted on taking the pizza away and making a fresh one.
The pizzas were delicious, reminding me of how they are made in Italy.
The only shame about our visit was that bring our last night in Eastbourne we are not able to return soon.

Lovely place with a very friendly atmosphere and great service, at the last visit we tried the meal deal, which was great value indeed.
I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, when it arrived, I wondered if I'd made a bad choice as it looked dry, we'll it was far from it, it was very delicious, meaty and moist and most definitely would order it again.Great place and great food

Ask what my wife and I would say was the best quality sinning experience in Eastbourne and this would be our choice. Combines everything from excellent food from a varied menu, with friendly waiting staff who you get to know for their personalities that add to the experience, an owner who cares and is usually on hand to greet you, and a good decor and atmosphere to match. Finally prices that seem to offer value against the overall quality. Not surprisingly hugely popular with us locals so booking advised!

We have just left after a lovely meal with family. As visitors to the area we had researched restaurants and persuaded our hosts to try this one for the first time. We hosted a family gathering of 5 adults and 3 children. The staff were courteous, friendly and very kind to our disabled son and our three grandchildren. Would thoroughly recommend this restaraunt for a relaxed meal. The bill for 8 of us was fractionally over £90 including drinks. The three course menu is great value. Considering how busy the restaurant was during a saturday lunch time, I was very impressed with the level of attentive service we received. This venue consistently provides good food, good value and great service.

This is second time we have visited this restaurant, ideal place to go after seeing a show in one of the theatres nearby. have been to this restaurant many times and have always had lovely food and great service myself and my friends belonged to a local gym and once a month we used to go for a meal , at times there were 30/40 of us and the restaurant always handled a crowd of us with ease .
