Installed on Friday 26/04, came from Sky where I was sold 70mb but only got 32mb down and 7-9mb up on a good day, off peak and the internet dropped out constantly. I'm now paying the same price as I was with Sky but getting 980mb down and 800mb up! Internet hasn't dropped out once and the speed has never noticeably dropped.

Massive thanks to Dom and Ricky, very clean and professional, install took about and hour and a half, but 30 minutes of that was discussing where was best to put the router. With Sky we were restricted to 1 spot where the cable came in but we needed an extender, with LF it reaches all the other way to the other side of our flat with no signal issues.

I 100% recommend this!

Quick appointment time from booking to installation. Good explanations throughout. Called them when issues with Chromecast and they were very helpful and quick to answer query by phone and email. Service has been great since installation . Cannot fault them so far one week into the contract !

Very good fast speeds<br>When it works! Since I switched to lightning fibre the speed was great but I have constantly almost every DAY! Had problems with it. There’s been times when it’s just not even on or really low speeds.<br>But if this gets fixed I would give it a 4.5/5

Had lightening fibre installed 5 days ago. Men who came to do the work were friendly and informative. I can tell the difference in my Internet with games downloading faster, being able to use Internet in rooms I couldn't before. I'm happy with my choice to move over.

I had Lightning Fibre fitted 15 days ago. It hasn't been as straightforward as I had hoped. I have been either emailing or on the phone to them most days because the Internet speed keeps dropping off. I signed up for their 300mbps package.

The day after it was setup I was getting speeds of less than 1mbps. Occasionally it would go up to 250mbps, but then drop to 30, 7, 10 the speed was all over the place. It was so slow at some points that I couldn't even use my mobile phone over the Internet, which meant I had to turn of the wireless connection on my phone before phoning anyone.

After a week of emailing and phoning they sent someone round to my property. It seemed like the router wasn't working properly so the engineer replaced it.

Unfortunately, this hasn't been the end of the problem. I have spent another week trying to get it to work properly. I phone or email them, and I'm given different things to try. They kept saying that there is nothing wrong with their side of things, so they wouldn'tsend anyone out. The last thing I was given to try was to reconfigure the router using some instructions emailed to me.

The router has 2G and 5G, usually they work together. But I had to reconfigure the router so that they work separately. 2G is slower, about 54mbps. This means my house has 2 wireless connections, and different devices need to be signed into one or other of the connections. Some devices work on the 2G connection some on the 5G.

It has, hopefully, sorted out the dropping off of speed. But it means my laptop, smart TV, and Roku device will only connect to the 2G wireless signal. I can no longer use the extender I had for my You View box. The only device that works on the 5G signal, the fast Internet connection, is my mobile phone. Hopefully it will work okay on the rest of my families phones too when they get home.

All in all, I have been impressed by Lightning Fibre's customer service team, (although their hands seemed tied as to whaat they can do) but less than impressed by the actual Internet service that I'm getting.

I have held off writing a negative review because I want to support a local business and I also hoped a resolution could be found. I think that Lightning Fibre should make it clear that only if you have the most up to date equipment (which from the age of my laptop should be less than 4 years old) your devices won't work on 5G, you will only get much lower speeds of 50-60 maps. Also I'm still not sure if the connection that I now have will remain stable.

I can see from.the other reviews that Lightning Fibre's service is highly recommended, hopefully I'm just one of the unfortunate ones.

Update; After all the initial difficulties, everything is working fine now.

Your workers have done a lot of work outside my house on different occasions, installing large underground junction boxes etc. often blocking my drive. Without exception they have been polite and helpful, as were the workers who did my house connection.
