Friendly and knowledgeable staff from initial phone call to place an order. The team were not pushy at all, and helped me pick the service best for me.

The installation team were incredibly professional, polite and conscientious and I was up and running within an hour.

Both the external and internal installation was completed without any problems or fuss to ourselves by Dom and Ricky. The quality of the signal is as good as our original BT signal at half the price , we are having a small problem with the WiFi signal, just letting it bed in otherwise may need an extender, but overall very pleased.

I reported my fibre broadband had gone down mid afternoon on a Thursday via the lightning fibre website. I received a call within an hour and when it was clear I couldn’t resolve the issue myself an engineer was booked in. They arrived ( earlier than expected) and resolved the issue within 30 minutes.

The customer service was excellent from start to finish.

My installation has just taken place by City Fibre on behalf og Lightening fibre. I won't rate them because the installers are a different company.
What i am.paying for is good internet service, so hope i can get this.
On signing up, i was told that i could get one booster free and id need to pay for any others, however yesterday, after signing up i was told it would be £4 a month more to use boosters, so conflicting advice already.
The 14 day period where you can see how the service works and then keep or change your mind is strangely organised as the person on the first sign up call couldnt offer me a installation date the next day for example, so by the time its installed you might well have passed the 14 day cooling off period, making it a bit worthless and pointless. When i phoned testerday before switching over, i spoke to someone and suggested my 14 day period would / should start now and she typed / raised a concern.
Also, i was told on my sign up call that engineers, which are commissioned to do the installation work for lightening fibre, would help me sinc all devices and TVs. It was the TVs i was bothered about, but this was not true. They didnt do this. Being a technophobe it will take me a few days to do this, therefore having less time to test out the service over the next 14 days. If it doesnt work well, i will raise the 14day issue.
I wish i wasnt told one thing and then hear something different by people working for the same company with the same policies.
The internet access, success and speed is what we are paying for from Lightening fibre, not the installation process, which is infact done by a different company. I hope this is good internet, after a damaged cable was replaced. Fingers crossed this works.

Installation was a bit of a pain as the wiring wasn’t good around my area. But after that was I’m happy with the service thus far. Customer service was great!!

Basically everything went very well only criticism is that we were not talked through things enough when the installation was completed he seemed quick to get away this may be okay for tech savvy younger people but not oldies like us! This applied especially to the landline.

The whole installation went very well, after a considerable wait for the connection. Courteous and professional.
Unfortunately I was not told of the possibility that my pc could be too old. I can not connect to fibre and have to use the ethernet, which is not too good. Also I can not connect the printer for that reason., I could have bought a new pc while my daughter was here and I could connect now. Unfortunately I am an older woman and not very computer literate. For this reason I will have to wait until my daughter visits again.
Had we been warned we would have bought a new pc before the installation of your fibre.
