I chose Lightening Fibre because I was impressed by the contractors that installed the street network. The sales staff were helpful and efficient. Our installers Josh and Tom were polite, efficient and professional, consulting us at every stage regarding cable routes and router location etc.

Our old BT landline was held together with insulating tape which caused internet connections to VPN's to drop. BT weren't interested as the issue was inside our home and we had no desire to pay them any more for old technology.
Lightning Fibre were due to be in our street several months ago, but where were problems at one of the road junctions that delayed things.
However, we're now connected which has addressed the old issues. Lightning are also faster and cheaper than BT. While not getting the full 1000/1000 over wifi the speed is more than sufficient for us.

We had our Lightning Fibre broadband connected on Thursday 12th July. The clue is in the name.

Prior to this, we had suffered with a copper based broadband service that was, quite frankly abysmal.

Today we have a genuine Lightning service!

I have got to say that the whole enterprise, from initial contact with the company in 2021 to receiving our magic fibre service installation has been 100% plus.

We had a number of updating mails and calls to keep us in the picture on progress.

The two installation fitters were excellent value. After a brief consultation on the best routing for the cable, they just got on with it in a very professional manner.

They ran the cables and installed the ONT and router with nil disruption or mess. They were very polite, helpful. I regret I was unable to catch their names, but would appreciate this 'thumbs up' being passed on.

Thank you also Rob, Connar and the many ladies I spoke to on LF's sales and support teams over the time.

Highly recommend Lightning Fibre.

Have been looking forward to going onto fibre since the company came to the south east. Finally got around to contacting back the customer services team to order now and I was given a slot within a couple of weeks.
Fibre was installed on Monday 11th July 2022 with the installation team of Dan, Tony, Matt and Fionn.
The whole team were friendly and efficient, you could tell they knew what they were doing and worked really well together. After asking where I would like the connection installed they got to work and the installation was complete with fibre up and running within a couple of hours.
They were professional, polite and tidy, even hoovered up anything that was caused from the installation.
Overall the installation service could not have been better.
The fibre connection itself is extremely fast and the price is incredibly competitive as it is much more affordable than the older internet firms still charging extremley high prices for a a margin of the speed of true fibre.
The customer service team itself are easy to get hold off, so if you are looking for decent internet with as good service as the speed of fibre I would highly recommend Lightning Fibre!

My fibre service was installed on 7th July 2022. The installation team of Zack, Aaron and Josh were very efficient and friendly and my service was up an running within three hours. This was helped by a pre-installation visit by Zack, the installation manager, so I could arrange some preparation work before the installation day. The Sales team are friendly, my only disappointment was the three month slip in the initial forecast for going live. I have used my own router and the technical support responded promptly to the support ticket raised. Overall, I'm very impressed.

Early days - here's a follow up review regarding installation and the initial service.

It was installed today. A few engineers and Lightning Fibre vehicles turned up to do the installation. I pointed out where I would like the equipment installed and they happily went ahead with that. The installation took approximately 2 hours to finish and the engineers even tidied up after - asking where the hoover was.

Sorry I don't know (or possibly remember?) the names of the engineers who did the installation, but they were all friendly and helpful.

Regarding the service, the service was initially installed on the supplied Zyxel router and extender. It's good hardware but I already have my own MikroTik router and mesh so I switched it over after they finished. It was pretty much plug and play. For the technically minded and curious, the connection is established using IPoE/DHCP and thankfully not the somewhat dated PPPoE that many other internet service providers still use.

The few random speed tests I've done have been superb so far, both single and multi thread. All being well the service will continue to be excellent and consistent!

When my broadband contract came to an end I called my supplier to negotiate a better deal. They offered me very little. I called Lightning Fibre and not only did they offer a much faster speed, but it was cheaper than my current provider. They also gave me a free period while I cancel my current provider so I'm not paying twice. They have been helpful and knowledgeable throughout and the installation was done with no fuss or mess, just a clear explanation of what what would be done. The installation team were polite, professional and happy to talk through the installation option that I wanted. I only wish I'd called them sooner. It's only been a few days but speeds are holding up and everything looks good. I would definitely recommend them.

Lightening Fibre went live in our road and we had our fibre broadband connected on Thursday 7th July.
We are very pleased with the service Lightening Fibre have provided so far.
Our current broadband contract does not finish until the end of September. However Rob, Lightening Fibre's sales consultant, offered us a cunning scheme, whereby we will not be charged for their service before our current contract finishes. An offer we could not refuse!
On the day, the installation fitters Charlie and Josh were excellent. They obviously knew what they were doing. They ran the cables and installed the network terminal and router with very little disruption and no disernable mess. They were also very polite and helpful and even moved our heavy potted bay trees back into position before they went.
We had one wobbly moment linking our home ether network to the router, but as soon as we put the router IP address 192.168.1.1 into our browser window - the Zyxel admin window appeared and the set up was easily completed.
We are vey happy to recommend Lightening Fibre.

I would 100% recommend Lightening Fibre as your internet provider.
We now work from home so a strong and high speed connection is essential. Far better than previous supplier and well worth the wait.

The cost is also so much better value, especially with the high level of customer service that comes with it. Within the first few days of connection we had a few issues (which is common with fibre connections) - Engineers were round within the hour of calling! You do not get that with any of the big providers.

I would 100% recommend Lightening Fibre, it was well worth of the traffic disruptions over the last few years!

Just wanted to say how impressed I have been with Lightning Fibre. Specifically:
1. they worked hard to offer me a deal which fitted with the timescale of my current Sky contract and was attractive financially;
2. The installers were friendly, helpful and obviously understood that we want unobtrusive and unintrusive cabling;
3. Initial setup was painless and everything worked!

Installation went smoothly and the company has been very helpful over the phone. Only supplier in our area of fibre, we have gone from 70mb download speeds with sky to 500mb-1gb depending on wireless or Ethernet. Would recommend!
