Nothing too much trouble. Staff very accommodating, brought up extra milk for teas no bother or extra charge, very welcoming, helpful with ideas on what to visit during your stay. Weather was not too kind this Monday or Tuesday but still a great view of the crashing waves on the shore. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing break, but not so much to do for the active mainly due to the poor weather. Parking is very difficult, would recommend buying a parking place at the hotel. Parking was £7 a night.

Booked last minute ie on the day for a business trip. Phoned the hotel direct and they matched the lowest price without prompting. Lovely welcome on reception and parking on the street close by. Room(210) was comfortable and very clean. Bathroom spotless as was linen on the bed. Breakfast served in the front part of the restaurant in the sunshine I could have been in the Riviera. Food was lovely delightfully served with my only personal gripe - I asked for my egg to be fried hard and it wasn't. Staff were too nice to moan at........will definitely come back.

My wife and I would like to give thanks to Neil and Webdy Kirby, the owners of the Langham Hotel.
They have made what can be a stressful task of organising a Masonic Ladies Weekend into a fantastic worthwhile experience.
We had around 90 guests attend their hotel on the 29-30th of May 2015, and not only did we not receive 1 negative comment we have been thanked so many times by all that attended.
It was unfortunate that Neil and Wendy were away, however I was amazed at the way all of the staff without exception greated us they could not do enough to help.
Neil and Wendy should be very proud indeed.
Short version of the above would be

> Friendly
> Organised
> Controlled
> Experienced
> Safe
> Professional
> unrivalled

Thank you all at this fine hotel.

Staff are great, I couldn't fault them for the duration of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Dinner was lovely as was the breakfast, lunch on the terrace was nice as the sun was shining down.

Our room was very well decorated, modern and clean, as was the rest of the hotel.

This is one hotel we both agreed on visiting again!

Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stayed here for the Bank Holiday Weekend. What a wonderful hotel. The staff are amazing, super efficient, friendly and courteous at all times. The food was fantastic, if you go...make sure you have the locally caught cod, chips and mushy peas...best I have tasted in a long time! Loved having breakfast in the conservatory overlooking a very mediterranean looking English channel. We had a superior room, and I have to say the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in in a hotel. All in all we had a lovely weekend, and would definitely return to the Langham.

This was our second visit and we had another great time staff are very welcoming and we did not let the weather spoil our stay in fact watching the waves crash in was all part of the fun. We over indulged in the excellent food and will be back again.

What a lovely friendly hotel, efficient staff, clean rooms and fantastic sea view rooms. The breakfast was very good, so nice not to have to serve yourself from a breakfast buffet like so many other hotels . We will be back soon.

Ive used this title because this is what I was asked when checking out. I thought how refreshing that a hotel actually cared.
I booked this Hotel to visit parents I travelled with my disabled daughter. When making a booking for a person with additional needs you need to trust that the hotel will be understanding. Well I was pleasantly surprised as they excelled themselves in trying to make sure that we were comfortable. I thought it was extremely kind to receive a telephone call from the hotel the day before arriving to request if I would prefer a shower or a bath in my room. I felt they had obviously read my additional comments added about my daughter on the booking application.
It was refreshing to be able to park directly on the grounds of the hotel. It was extremely useful to have a lift. More importantly than the facilities of the hotel for me is the attitude of the staff. We were greeted with enthusiasm and genuine interest in our stay, I was helped with our cases, taken directly to the room, even when an additional relative arrived they were also accommodated with temporary use of onsite parking to join us for lunch. The bar food was excellent. Upon checkout we were handed 2 bottles of fresh chilled water for our journey home. A small gesture but on a warm day it was really appreciated.
Things I noticed but didn't use was a fully comprehensive and up-to-date guide of 'what's on' in the area, there was also information about hiring mobility items if needed which would be extremely helpful if your not able to transport your own scooter etc. We noticed live entertainment taking place in the hotel in the evening which was a pleasant extra. If wanted there was also an offer to make you a picnic packed lunch if you wanted to have a full day out enjoying Eastbourne.

This was a lovely hotel, I will definitely be visiting again, with my whole family and the next time my parents book accommodation in Eastbourne I will definitely be recommending that they make a reservation here.
If you are looking for a clean, warm, welcoming, friendly hotel then I would suggest you book Langhams Hotel Eastbourne.

Staff extremely helpful and always happy. Room very clean and the views from the front are very good I will be coming back again soon. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends. There are plenty of hotels in the area but this is the best

Spent a couple of nights with husband and elderly mother. The weather was kind and the location was perfect for someone with reduced mobility. The owner was very personable and took the time to speak with us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable although rooms were unremarkable, especially the single. Views were fantastic, though

Have previously reviewed this hotel for a visit last year for a 'Fathers day' preset lunch...
Today my wife, her parents and myself stopped off for some lunch, two of us had the most fantastic fresh cod & chips ever and it was massive!! My mother-in-law had whitebait which again were fresh and tasty and also large in portion size. My wife had opted for a coronation chicken baguette which she ended up taking half home as it was too much for her at lunch.
Prices are very reasonable, service is always good and I would highly recommend a lunch stop here to anyone.
The bar menu is not extensive but what they do, they do very well.

Really happy we chose this Hotel for our short break. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault the cleanliness, our room was spotless. Would certainly recommend the Langham.

This privately owned hotel is a real find among the hoards of chains. As a result of its private ownership you can really tell the difference. The staff are charming and so helpful, décor all clean and in good order, rooms comfortable and food excellent. This has now become a favourite stop for us either as weekend treat mini break or a coffee or afternoon tea when passing through visiting Eastbourne. In a way I'm reluctant to give such a good review as it means everyone will want to book and there will be no rooms left for us! We sat in the conservatory for breakfast and the spring sunshine and view almost made us feel like we were abroad - delightful.

We have never stayed here before and saw lots of great reviews on here, so we booked a weekend break here and the hotel did not disappoint.

We were welcomed by friendly reception staff and were asked about upgrading to a sea-view room which we decided to go with and the room was amazing. Also we were told about the free Wi-fi which was good very fast broadband and easy to connect which is always a bonus.

Food at the restaurant was fantastic fish and chips were amazing good size portions and my partner had Rib-eye steak which was well cooked, restaurant staff were also very polite. Breakfast every morning was also very good great selection to choose from.

Were enjoyed Eastbourne as well very nice quiet town pier will look brilliant when it is finished lots of great shops in the Arndale centre.

All in all a great hotel, brilliant staff would recommend to stay at this hotel.

When we travel down to visiting friends in the Eastbourne area we always eat either lunch or dinner in the conservatory restaurant in the Langham, and have said "we must stay in the hotel sometime", well this Tuesday 12th. May booked a room (thank you reception team you are all helpful) and were pleased we did, after eating dinner (once again an excellent meal and wine, with very good service (thank you Catherine and the other waitresses). The room was very comfortable , bathroom very modern with plenty of hot water, we have booked again for a stay in July. Thank you Langham Hotel.

We had a lovely lunch in the conservatory at the Langham today, the atmosphere was really relaxed and such a lovely view looking out to the sea.
What was really nice was we had our coffee and mints in the lounge afterwards, and we stayed there for quite along time and didn't feel rushed in any way.
It was a lovely end to a busy bank Holiday and everyone was so friendly.

On arrival was slightly concerned about parking but was pleased to find a couple of options, either find free street parking or for £10 we were able to use the garage (3 spaces available so advanced booking recommended). Very pleased to find our room was immaculately clean with a beautiful view of the sea (room216) however as my partner is over 6ft tall and the bath was smaller than average we enquired as to an alternative room with a bigger bath and they were only too happy in reception to offer us this, all be it without a bath but a brand new walk in shower bathroom. View equally beautiful and slightly bigger room for an extra £16 (room331). Dinner very good indeed, staff very attentive, breakfast (served) very good and hotel on the whole 8/10. Would recommend. Not a great deal to do in Eastbourne but great for a chilled getaway.

Good god -I'm going to Eastbourne and i'm under 75!!! -actually i'm 48 and the wife is 38 , so... but I was wrong . We wanted quiet, traditional , quaint even - and Eastbourne delivered. Avoid most of the main town , a collection of charity shops, tat emporiums, and east European shanty town type takeaways you wouldn't send your mother in law to, and , on the whole , stick to the front- prom, pier, and beach, all good-and the Langham hotel. The best hotels in Eastbourne appear to be at either end of the town, and we were , overall, not disappointed in our choice. Room good , sea about 50 feet away!-nice to go to sleep to-coupled with the seagulls wailing !.Recommend the house champagne, and the T-bone steak, both excellent.Fresh trout fillet also good, breakfast ok -mushrooms not, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs the better choice. The bed was wonderfully comfortable-shower ok-water pressure a bit low- but if you ran around- you got wet!The best thing about the hotel were the staff-ALWAYS friendly pleasant, efficent, from booking to departure especially peter,thankyou.Tip-eat in the conservatory-nice and quiet and cool in the evening.

Visited Langham hotel in April with majestic coach tour, lovely hotel, food was excellent, rooms basic but clean, our bed though was very uncomfortable, entertainment was terrible. Didn't stay in after first night went to nearby pub. All In all a good hotel though and would go again

The Langham is in a perfect location, the sea front is literally a stones throw away so lovely views all around and of the Pier too... Parking is limited, we paid £7 a day for hotel parking and it was a relief not to have the hassle of trying to find an OK spot.
Our Boutique style room (at the front) was newly refurbished in soft pastel and pearl colourways with dark brown/black accents - 2 windows including a lovely bay window (double glazed), a really comfortable warm room that caught the sun, with King bed (light bedding - no heavy duvet), modern chunky Oak furniture, flat screen TV, double sofa and small table with 2 comfy chairs in the bay - perfect! The new Ensuite wasn't overly large but adequate with modern square basin and new shower - very smart in Black & White - I loved the deep drawer under the basin to keep all the toiletries in - well planned out - obviously there is a program of refurbishment going on in the rooms so
if you want an updated room - make sure you book one!

The public areas of the hotel are classic but smart - with a nod to their obvious older regulars but also giving the sense that times are changing...The staff were obviously well trained, helpful and professional as one would expect from a 4 Star hotel.

Breakfast was a fully waited service in The Conservatory Restaurant - so your order for everything is taken (juices, cereals fruit, drinks and cooked etc) and brought to the table - quite labour intensive when it's busy I imagine. I found the conservatory quite stifling - we were lucky to have beautiful weather, so the sun streamed in - without any windows open it became uncomfortably hot very quickly and despite a request for some fresh air, the door was quickly closed again - we didn't linger over coffee as we normally do, and I suggest that the staff need to 'manage' the temperature and airflow. Cooked breakfast was okay - the mushrooms looked and tasted tinned and scrambled eggs portions were on the lean side.

We ate in the restaurant one evening, it was very reasonably priced but with a limited menu and meals that were nothing special - I'm afraid The Conservatory, with no background music and it's bland cream walls just lacked atmosphere and appeal as a restaurant.

The only real down side was the fact that I couldn't access the internet for the duration of our stay (and I did really need to) - reception said it was something they were working on - but it simply never worked for me.
All in all, a lovely hotel, good staff and a great location in beautiful Eastbourne.

The Langham hotel is right on the sea front in Eastbourne's Royal Parade left of the pier. The front rooms have a wonderful sea view, the pier can also be seen from the rooms. The service from all members of the staff could not be faulted, from the booking in over the phone, to the reception staff, the restaurant and bar staff. All were friendly and efficient. I had booked the Honeymoon suite as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend, what a room, four poster bed double shower, fantastic! We also had Champagne and Strawberries ordered, which were in the room when we arrived. Lots of Brownie points there! Would recommend this hotel very highly, and good value, brilliant.

Great welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. All the teams were friendly and smiled, no matter what time of day or night shift they were on.

The wifi in public areas was great, but very slow in the rooms and the link kept disconnecting.

My only recommendation for improvement would be duvets on the beds please - blankets are so old fashioned and mismatch with the contemporary room décor - as well as being more comfortable to sleep with.

My husband booked dinner, bed and breakfast as a surprise for my birthday. Our large sea view room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the adjoining bathroom was well appointed with designer toiletries. The chef should be congratulated on the excellent food and they even provided a birthday cake complete with candle. All the staff are very friendly and efficient and go out of their way to help in any way they can to make your stay enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel which is one of the friendliest we have experienced. We look forward to returning in the near future.
