Great hotel, nothing is too much trouble. We do a lot of hotels and whilst some may claim to offer excellent service the staff here are truly awesome. The food is always good, breakfast is ok, not great but ok. The bar is good, the rooms are great. We would recommend this hotel any time and as long as they keep this up (we've been 3 times) we will return. Well done.

We came to The Langham to celebrate our anniversary. The owner Neil Kirby personally welcomed us and helped us with our luggage. I bought his book Celebrity hotel on our last visit and I highly recommend it.
My boyfriend booked a brand new room called Arundel, beautiful room overlooking the sea. Great facilities. I loved the towels and dressing gowns with Langham logo on them what a great attention to detail.
We tried the afternoon tea and it's one of the best ones I've ever had.
The whole stay was wonderful.
We will definitely be back.

Three night stay in the Arundel room, spacious and comfortable premium rate room with sea view. High levels of service in all areas, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and bar. Plenty of menu choice breakfast and dinner and good quality food at reasonable prices - 2 course dinner for £15. This and other sea view rooms overlook the Royal Parade which is a very busy through road with plenty of traffic from early morning until late at night. Unfortunately the double glazing is not adequate for the job and as a result the noise becomes quite obtrusive. As a result I would have to say that £195 pn B & B is a bit pricy. Otherwise really good quality hotel.

We decided to stay for a weekend as some other friends were down for a reunion, the staff were friendly, polite and very helpfull, we had a lovely room with a seaview , the room was clean and well furnished with a modern en-suite, breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive , in the afternoon we had coffee and homemade shortcake in the bar lounge overlooking the sea , very relaxing. the owner has a book about his time in the hotel business which i have read , a reallly interesting read, would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here with my husband and son. We had a sea view room with amazing views. The room was very clean and spacious. Facilities in the room included a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate including biscuits.

Staff were very professional and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was good with a great selection and was impressed with the service both at dinner and breakfast. Food was also very tasty.

We would definitely stay here again and great value for money.

Originally booked for 1 night then added another night. The sound of the sea and the fresh air was great.
A bit expensive but the breakfast made up for it. No standard buffet this is swerved to to you on a plate.
Good wifi, parking on the street free after 6pm. Nice bay view window, hotel had a lift and right next to the bus stop.
Well worth a visit if you get a room overlooking the prom

We drove into Eastbourne just in time for lunch and thought the Langham hotel looked like a nice spot, we popped into the hotel and found all the public areas to be well decorated and maintained. We ordered lunch from the bar menu, choosing coffee, soup and scones which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking to sea. Food was all very tasty with good flavours and excellent presentation. The scones in particular were very good, sizeable and served with quality jam and cream. Having picked up a leaflet at the bar on winter stays and having both liked the hotel I spoke to the reception staff to enquire on any weekend DBB offers and found them very helpful so hope to be planning a stay in the new year.

A weekend treat for my mum, who has stayed at the Langham for many years either with my father, and after he passed away, with friends or club outings. So we knew it had to live up to her expectations..and it did, lovely, friendly helpful staff, often very busy, but with time for everyone. Neil who owns the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and accommadating when making the booking, his team are an accolade to him. Very useful to use hotel parking facilities at a nominal daily charge.

We booked afternoon tea here on Sunday 9th October.
Lovely tea, beautifully presented. Sat in the Conservatory overlooking the sea ( even saw a Rainbow) Great service. Fully recommend. Couldn't manage to eat all the cakes so they happily gave us a doggy bag to take them home with us. Great value at £15 a head

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. From the time we were greeted by a member of staff to the time we left five days later, nothing was to much trouble. Our luggage was delivered promptly to our room. Room 118 was a lovely surprise, being both modern, extremely clean and comfortable ( only draw back was the noise from the kitchen extractor fans). The food at the Langham is of 5* quality, the waiting staff where friendly, polite and helpful. The entertainment was enjoyable but because it is in the lower ground floor the room can get very warm. We would like to think that one day we would like to return to this lovely hotel.

We have just had the most fantastic weekend away at this superb hotel. As a family run business nothing is left to chance and nothing is too much trouble. We were made to feel like royalty all weekend. The staff from the owners to the cleaners were all friendly, helpful, courteous and charming and made our stay one to remember. The food prepared by the chefs was second to none, breakfast was served to you freshly cooked and everyone's dietary needs were met without exception. The package for Masonic Weekends covers every need for a Festival Secretary at a very affordable price. The owners of the Langham, Neil and Wendy go the extra mile to ensure everything is just right. A lovely couple with an exceptional hotel and staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel not only for Masonic Weekends but for everything from a romantic break to a wedding. Family friendly, warm and welcoming.

Booking via international phone call was smooth due to the excellent help of Claire. When we checked in and got to our room, there was an issue which Simon immediately rectified and placed us in an upgraded room. Then, someone else was parked in our reserved spot but Paul simply gave us a different space. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Especially Lucas. Highly recommend this renovated historic property not just because it is beautiful, but the staff are excellent at customer service. The only thing keeping us from a 5 star review is the odd shower. Because of the way the shower floor was sloped, the water from your shower simply flowed onto the rest of the floor. We used towels to sop up the water, but because there is no shower door, this will always leak. Not a big deal for us.

We hosted a Ladies Festival at the Langham last weekend and we are so pleased we chose this as our venue. Right from the start we were impressed by the friendly and professional approach from all the team. The attention to detail was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Everything went very smoothly and we all had a brilliant time. The Lodge has booked the Langham for next years event and we cannot wait. This hotel is a real gem in Eastbourne.

The attention to detail coupled with the excellent and friendly service makes the Langham stand out not just against other hotels in Eastbourne but with any hotel including the major upmarket brands.

An indication of the exceptional pride they take is that even the polished chrome light switches must be cleaned daily as there isn’t a finger print to be seen.

A family run hotel where nothing is too much for their guests.

Rare for Eastbourne, the Langham has 9 parking spaces that can be booked in advance.

What a little gem this place is !
We spend the weekend fri-Sunday here and had a wonderful time .All staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble ,they go out of their way to help .
Room was lovely on third floor with three sea view windows, clean and plenty of space to move around as had another bed in room for our son .
Shower was the one slight let down as came out as a light flow (we use to a power shower) .
Food was excellent with a good choice for all diet needs and lots of it .
We booked Sunday lunch -choice of two or three courses and on this day , it was a jazz lunch (two people singing- very good ) food was fab ,free glass of fizz too.(£16.50 or £22.50 )
Please pass on our thanks to all staff as they work very hard to go that extra mile (a credit to you Neil& Wendy ) .
A great place to stay and eat do give them a try !

My husband, myself & 2 friends visited the Langham Hotel conservatory restaurant & found the food delicious. The service was very good & the waitress & waiters were very attentive without being intrusive. However, the noise of a disco @ a private function next to the conservatory was dreadful. We couldn't hear ourselves talk as the noise was deafening. The waiting staff did everything they could to keep the noise down but as they had to use the door frequently to get to & from the kitchen, it was all to no avail. We would go back again as the food was so nice, but would ensure there wasn't a private function on the same day.

We recently booked a table for 12 of our family and friends to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary on a Sunday Jazz Lunch at the hotel. The food was terrific as usual, large portions of a very tasty selection from a balanced menu which did not disappoint. A glass of bubbly to start, great music played by a live jazz band in the restaurant and the most delicious roast beef from the carvery trolley all served by smiling happy and efficient staff. Fabulous and brilliant value for money. We'll definitely be back!!

The hotel is conveniently situated overlooking the seafront .
Whilst the hotel is perfectly comfortable and the rooms well furnished it is let down by the food .
The quality of the breakfast for the price is disappointing .
The service by the staff was good and they were helpful at all times .

Thanks to Neil and his team for making my Mum's 70th birthday afternoon tea this weekend so special. The service was great as always, and the tea was gorgeous. I think your creme de menthe cake is the best ever! Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone

Stayed here for one night and was very impressed. A couple of minus points - no aircon (but understandable in an old building) and limited parking. Otherwise everything was great. We received old fashioned courtesy and hospitality. On Saturday there was a masonic Ladies night in the restaurant but they still served food in the conservatory area and although the staff must have been very busy, the food was served in a reasonable time and the restaurant staff were very efficient. Also the included breakfast the next morning was excellent.
The room was comfortable with more storage than you would find in a lot of hotels and the bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished.
Would stay there again.

Without doubt the most reliably good hotel in the area. The staff are all always really polite, friendly and helpful. Good bar to pop in, sit overlooking the sea or outside on a fine day. Good bar food, great restaurant, we especially like the Sunday jazz lunches.

nearly 50 of us visited as part of a bowls tour. We are not used to service and food of this quality and loved the place. Nothing was too much trouble for the very profesional staff. The rooms were very well presented and the views stunning. Thank you to Claire and her team, the food being the special mention, wow, we hope to visit again in the future. Plessey Bowls on Tour.

Spent four days at the Langham Hotel as a member of a bowls club tour from 16th to 19th September inclusive.. The hotel was faultless. Our room had every facility, was clean and the beds out of this world. Dining room was attractive and presentable; the food came up to and beyond expectations. In fact,of 40 persons in our group, I heard not one complaint but many praised the Langham. As one would hope and expect, the staff were helpful, made one feel welcome and were most professional. I will make this hotel the first port of call when I next visit Eastbourne. Problem might be, that if you all go will there be room for me next time?
