Amazing place to visit. Worths the price of the entrance 100%. The castle and its beautiful gardens are mesmerising. Makes you feel you are in a different age.. Its a must for a family with kids to visit.

Really beautiful grounds, beautiful flowers and the castle from the outside is lovely to look at and a good piece of history. The grounds are really we'll kept. Toilets clean and tidy and good little cafe. However downside for me not enough there to spend more than an hour or two on the ground but that was just me

I love visiting here. I enjoy walking around. I take my kindle. Find a bench/seat. Read a chapter of whatever book I am reading. Walk around for a bit. Until I find another bench. Read another chapter. It's quiet, tranquil, beautiful sounds.<br>Phone, has no signal. Brilliant.

Gardens are large and lovely, cafe's reasonably priced and the castle is old and suitably grand. Didn't manage to visit all of it but would love to go back on a sunny day and rummage about.

A wonderful unspoilt venue with super walks in gardens and woodland ( how spectacular to walk along an avenue of sweet chestnut trees, some of which are 800 years old ), a 15th century moated castle. What's not to like. And to cap it all a tearoom serving clotted cream teas and yummy cakes.

Excellent day out. Beautiful building and lovely gardens. Amazingly quiet. Only downside was that the cafés sandwiches were tight with the filling! Thoroughly recommended
