Excellent place to visit. Our only drawback we were on a coach trip and needed much more time preferably a full day visit

Beautiful place with lovely gardens and statues to keep children occupied. Complete with a tea room and on site parking. You have to pay to walk the grounds or if you go there often buy a season ticket and save money. Follow signs for the Camera Observatory/obscure and this will lead you to the Castle via a friendly security porter on the main entrance, you can then proceed down a few hundred meters to the Castle where you can park on the grass and picnic before entering the open grounds, it really is a beautiful place to spend a good few hours.

Good morning visit. Be careful not to use the published post code as it takes you to the rear entrance which is miles away. Nice coffee at a good price.

Beatiful place to visit, small but very impressive.
It's a must to visit in good weather to enjoy it to max.

Cost £8/person which I find it quite cheap versus other s##tholes that charge double or more for derelict places.

It could easely charge you £15-£20 if they wanted, as it's worth it every penny.

Real castle with most and huge grounds. Pleasant staff and enjoyable refreshments. Shame castle itself is off limits but thanks to Queen's University at least the place hasn't fallen apart.

Nice formal gardens and great views of the medieval castle (which, sadly can't be visited). Cafe and shop on site with reasonably priced art from local artists.

The castle grounds were fantastic. The tea room not so good. It left me feeling hungry as most food sold out at 1 30. The chicken soup my wife and I settled on was the same quality as we get from a tin at home and the roll was cold and soft not crusty as advertised. A lot of money for what it was. I will not buy food here again.
