The gardens are excellent, lots to see. Thectea rooms cater for allergies, which you don't find everywhere.

Great day out, wonderful grounds, with themed planting. Doggy friendly. Observatory next to the castle. Tasty cream teas, reasonably priced as well as a gift shop featuring the art students work again at reasonable prices. Under £10 entrance fee but bags of interest for the cost, including 300 year old walnut trees. Beautiful!

Beautiful and peaceful place, very good cakes at the cafe, good for children for a day out.

Da man das hübsche Schloss nur von außen sehen kann, erscheinen 8 Pfund pro Person nur zum Betreten der Gärten etwas teuer.

Excellent gardens and grounds - if I lived in the area, I'd definitely get a season ticket!

A great summer afternoon spent walking the grounds of the castle. Lots of photo opportunities and views. There's a small cafe on site that shuts at 16:30 selling a limited range of items, some indoor seating but much more outside.

Lovely place, gardens suffering after drought & in need of tidying etc. Enjoyed the walk. Cafe let us down, husband had soup & a roll more like a brick, they exchanged it for some ciabatta which also was hard. I complained & they refunded me . Was it because it was a Monday or was it freezer burn...but not brilliant. My ham & cheese ciabatta was fine tho.

You cannot go inside the castle, you can only visit the gardens. The castle is beautiful as are the grounds although I thought a bit expensive. The cafe was limited in what it offers.

Saturday 13th August 22 we had our wedding and what can I say the venue is absolutely stunning we got married in the ball room. Followed by a marquee reception on the lawns. All the staff were friendly happy and couldn't do enough for us. A massive thank you to Carlos who helped us on our journey with the preparation for our wedding 10/10 for everything you have done for us.

What an impressive building, set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by a moat full of pink and white waterlillies. You could happily spend a good few hours here. There is a tea room and toilets but we did not use these so can't comment on them.

unfortunately did not see at its best due to hot weather and lack of rain. Tea room very disappointing with only 2 things on menu board and did not have plain scones for cream tea and nor any paninis.

Nice day spent here with friends and our toddler. We were met across the moat by a guide who gave us an introduction. Easy walks around the grounds with a few activities to keep the little one interested. Picnic area plus tables available. Cafe on site along with shop. Surprisingly quiet for school holiday.
