I was first impressed by the friendly staff and how clean the restaurant is, but quickly realised that the food was centre stage! We had the set meze, which was wonderful.
Lots of not such small plates of delights followed by a dessert to share. We also bought a few things from the deli to take home. We will definitely return here again soon.

A place for real Greek Food Greek Wines and perfect Greek service.I have been looking for this type of Restaurant in Eastbourne for ages and have found it "Perfect" in every way.No more can be said, try it for yourself.

It was a wonderful surprise! I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants to taste the authentic Greek cuisine. Vasilis the owner was very hospitable and we enjoyed every dish we tried. There is also a deli in the restaurant with various Greek products. We tried the olive oil and some traditional pasta which was perfect!!

Went on Wednesday evening after hearing good things on trip advisor, food really nice with lots of flavour, pita bread with various dips was really tasty lovely airy restaurant and was very busy. Well done new restaurant! Keep up good work.

Tasty authentic food, good price for the portions. They haven't been open long but already every table was reserved. Only thing that let them down was service was a little slow and the heaters they had to use weren't too warm. Teething problems but overall a lovely evening.

Sat outside with my mother in the lunchtime sun, lovely host gave us lots of time to decide on a few dishes then gave fantastic advice on swapping a dish to create more variety. Good simple food, felt great after

Popped in here for lunch on a sunny, Sunday visit to eastbourne. There's lots of choice along this road but myself and partner are partial to Greek food and didn't want to indulge the children as usual. We noticed on the menu there was chips available so confident they wouldn't starve, we went in. The inside was gorgeous, modern, muted colours with pictures of sunny Greece on the walls. We sat down optimistically. Everything on the menu sounded great so we went for the meze offer-£12.50 for dips, meze and main. Oh my goodness- it was all lovely. Hummus and possible the best taramosalata I've eaten. Greek falafel, feta parcels, kebabs, melt in the mouth beef. Washed down with good humour and smiles from the staff. My kids opted to share the Greek version of fish and chips. It was wolfed down by both and then emboldened they started on ours. We came out thoroughly satisfied and with a view that it was worth another visit to eastbourne just to come here again. Like all people who visit, I imagine, we spent some time in the evening looking at holidays to the Greek Isles!

My favourite being the mousaka which was a little bit of Grecian heaven on my plate. It was hearty and full of flavour, with the most delightful bechemal sauce on the top. We also had the vine leaves (warmed, that was new one on us!), samosas (not sure of the correct name) and the Bekri Meze, finishing off with the gorgeous Greek yoghurt, flavoured with fruits, honey and nuts. We will be returning very shortly. Yes, it's that good!
Total cost for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 2 apple juices, (3 baclavas, 2 Turkish delight boxes & fava beans from the deli) was approx £42.00 and worth every single penny.

We came here last night for the first time. We chose the Meze which was very well done. All the dishes in it were delicious. Nothing was over done; the kebab soft and tasty.
Loved the Greek pastries afterwards. Not too sweet so the flavours of the nuts and spices came through. We look forward to bringing more friends along.

Awesome little find , charming interior , warm hosts , and lovely authentic food . Just needed the sea lapping the beach and the Greek sunshine flooding in and we have been back on our favourite Greek island .

I cannot speak to highly about this restaurant (taverna). Have been a couple of times now and have been very impressed with everything Vassili has done with the place. The authentic Greek cuisine, friendly staff and Greek music give a truly Greek experience. Can't wait for the up coming Greek night with live music. My wife and I are so pleased to have found this small piece of Greece in Eastbourne. ...

This Greek restaurant is a newcomer to Eastbourne, and we visited yesterday for the second time. We lived and worked in Greece for six years so know Greek cuisine very well. The restaurant is clean and bright, owner and staff very welcoming. The menu has a wide range of authentic Greek dishes beautifully presented. Great food not overpriced, well worth a visit.

We had the Greek meze for two and this was great value for money. I love this type of eating as it encourages you to try things you wouldn't normally order although the hostess did kindly offer to include the Chicken Souvlaki.
There was too many dishes to list them all but some of the best were the homemade Taramosalata (something I would never normally order but I'm now a convert!), Kolokithokeftedes (like a courgette fritter - delicious) and the Moussaka which had a deep and creamy layer of béchamel sauce.
The Greek Meze included starters, mains and a dessert but by the time we had finished the mains - with clean plates I might add - we had no room. My wife and I sat and chatted for a little longer, paid our bill and were about to leave when the hostess stopped us, sat us back down and insisted (in a very friendly way) we have the sweet course!
We had a great night at this restaurant and I would highly recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for something other than the standard fare of Pizzas, Burgers or Chinese - I would suggest giving Gr/Eat a try - we loved it and will return if we ever find ourselves back in Eastbourne. My only regret was that neither my wife or I had any cash to leave a richly deserved tip and this was a reflection only on our poor planning and not on the excellent hospitality we received. Thanks again to all the staff at Gr/Eat!

Had a fantastic three days in Eastbourne . We being Greek decided to try this fairly new Restaurant .Well we were not disappointed the chargrilled lamb was so tasty,tender we had to go back for a second time .We had some delicious dips of which we could buy a small tub to take away with us .We also purchased some olives and few bottles of Greek wine which we had tried the night before.If you are looking for real homemade Greek food this is the place to go .Highly recommended

Have now visited this little gem twice in the past two months. First visit was just us as a couple and then again on Easter Sunday with 15 of us in total, 4 generations. What a fantastic find and just what Eastbourne (or the South East, we are 25 miles away!) needed. The food is gorgeous and if I close my eyes I can pretend I am on my Greek island of Skiathos! The lovely Greek family are just that and nothing is too much trouble. If you are in Eastbourne take a visit.

To put it bluntly, when a Greek person approves Greek food outside of Greece, then it is worth the visit! Not gimmicky, ie no plate smashing, feels like you could be anywhere in greece. Lovely staff and highly recommend the kolokithokeftedes, feta saganaki, bakaliaros skordalia and all of their dips. Oh yes, they serve fix beer, much better than mythos. One very happy customer!

Been visiting this restaurant for several months now and always had a nice welcome accompanied by a nice menu selection . It's difficult to resist the Beetroot Mousse which is simply Delicious !!! A good choice for vegetarians . The Beef stew was excellent as was the Pork Souvlaki I had today !! Must get around to trying everything on the menu !!
