We were pleased to enjoy a walk around the revamped Pier, so pleased to see that it was not abandoned to ruin.

Lovely pier. Well maintained, piped music giving it a relaxed vibe. You can see why it is a popular venue for weddings.

67 years old and first time to Eastbourne. Historically I would have said that I might still be a bit young to visit, but actually was very pleased to be surprised how nice it was. We stayed in the View hotel which is on the seafront , see separate review, the sea front has a very long promenade which is nice amd flat and suitable for all the family from joint in pushchairs and elderly in wheelchairs and electric carts. The bandstand has a sign that says it is the most used in the UK but we didn't hear any music on the days we were there. The pier we re told is in better condition now it is owned by a Sheik and has a sign on the way out which is on a play of words as it says Sheikspier. We walked all round the pier which has little shops on it as well as a couple of fish and chippies and cafes. We had sandwiches and tea in the Victorian tea room. Very acceptable and reasonably priced although they could do with an oven and toaster to increase what is available. Well worth a visit if you are here for the day or in holiday. The Arndale shopping centre is only a short walk from here into the town. Whilst I have marked the attraction as not a good picnic spot, if the weather is good you can sit on the very stones beach instead.

I visited the Pier with my Grandson aged 7 years.

We took his bike down so he could use it on the sea front (which is flat).

The weather was cold but Sunny and dry.

We bought an ice cream each at the shop at the start of the pier the explored the pier right to the end and back.

On the way back we went into the odd shop to have a look around including the glass shop, great fun!

We of course used the slot machines but had a budget!

On the way out we stopped at the fish and chip shop and had a sit down meal.

All in all a good day out.

A classic amongst the victorian piers, lovely to take a stroll along on a fine winters day
Offering excellent views back along the whole of the Eastbourne seafront
She cuts a fine elegant line against the sunrise
Cafe / restaurant half way along for a snack or a brew

Pier has been re-vamped and updated since the fire and is looking all the better for it!
Less tacky and old fashioned with a lovely new pub/bar at the end!
Lovely!

Area of activity within a quiet promenade. Easily accessible. At the time I went the Christmas Market was in full swing. Many food and gift stalls. Well attended. Clean and tidy area, pride obviously being taken in the surroundings.
Could see the underlying elegance that would be there when the market was finished after the Christmas period.

Chose to walk the pier on a beautiful sunny day in December! Great views all along the seafront, fantastic cafe/restaurant halfway along the pier, wonderful Christmas decorations and scones! Shame all the shops were closed.

I've been to the pier many times before but not since it has been completely finished. Gone is the fisherman's hut at the end and in its place stands nice benches and new railings.

They definitely have done a good job on it. It was lovely to see everyone walking around and enjoying it on Boxing Day.

Its a pity since the fire, its seems to have lost its charm, theve just stuck a lot of tables and chairs on pier, not much else other than a few shops and cafes

The Pier is well maintained and clean, there was a fish and chips cafe, amusement arcade, a glass making gift shop, cafe, and a bar and nightclub, . There is a good view of Beachy Head on a fine day. It's nice to walk along the Pier and sit a while weather permitting.

It was at the end of November, so most of it was shut, nice stroll without being busy though. I thought there would have been more knick knack shops.

Love coming to Eastbourne and going on the pier just to chill, not the longest pier by any means but still reminds me of old England.

Lovely views of the sea/beach, was a little dissappointed with the lack of entertainment there, but is a lovely place for a nice little stroll.

Traditional British pier. Nothing quite like a walk along the promenade.

The pier has just recently been bought as far as I was told and the new owners are doing a good job of redecorating it over the winter, I should imagine that it will be very welcoming once it is finished and all open

We were on a business trip. Had a stroll after lunch. We liked the look of the cafe/restaurant serving tea and cakes etc. There were typical sea side attractions along the pier. Liked the views
