Wonderful railway and facilities. All locos on show so interesting while you wander around. Plenty of seating and several options for food and drink.

Cracking family day out if your child (or adult) loves trains!
Steam train journey around the lake was the highlight, but my son (3 years) also loved the model trains and climbing frames.

This is an excellent day out for the littlies. There is loads of space, the railway ride is so fun and the food is reasonably priced. Will absolutely be back! Probably best for kids up to 6 or 7ish.

A lovely day out in the fresh air. Plenty of play areas and interesting, quirky things to enjoy like the gnome garden which is adorable. Lots of picnic tables too. We had eaten before we went so didn't try anything from the cafe apart from an ice lolly and I was impressed that the price charged was quite reasonable.

The train travels faster than expected and it was really fun even if going into the very low tunnel with the shadows and my sunglasses making it impossible to see if my head was clear was terrifying. I am only 5' 4" and I didn't have much clearance and it comes up on you very suddenly with no warning.

I do think the entrance price is expensive for just a 5 minute train ride but they clearly care for and upkeep the surroundings very well indeed and I guess that costs money. A little oasis of peace and quiet.

Took my elderly parents as we had read a review of an elderly couple who loved it and felt like 12 year old again. We had a ride on the train and a walk around the lake. Lovely wildlife,a gorgeous foxcub graced us with his presence. Brilliant for kids as lots of kiddie play parks around.
Great cafe and decent menu. Also a gift shop om site. Thoroughly recommend.

Skvělé a hlavně unikátní místo pro všechny milovníky vláčků a děti. Kromě největšího tahounu, projížďky vlakem, kdy jedna jízda je v ceně a další můžete přikoupit, je tu několik dětských hřišť, bludiště a další zábava. A můžete tu potkat třeba také lišky :)

This place is top-notch!! What a delightful few hours we spent here. We, as an OAP couple were 12 year-olds again!! Walked around the estate twice, went on the train numerous times. Had a cream-tea. An ice-cream & copious amount of fun.
Friendly staff, fantastic location, well laid out. A joyous day.

Lovely little place with lots of lovely details. The train ride by Mike, the owner, just topped it off.

We had a lovely hour and a half taking a train ride and walking round the lake. We arrived and departed on foot, and while the walk is long, the pavements are good quality and easy to follow. Staff friendly and we were delighted to find a drinking fountain to fill up our water bottle. Thanks!!!

Lovely place to take kids. Big lake with Minature Steam train running around. Three of four play areas and a maze. We spent around three hours. Admission is just under £10 for both kids and adults but this includes one train ride. There was enough to make it worth the money. Cafe was reasonably priced. £4 for sandwich include crisps and salad. Other hot options available. Getting there is a bit of a walk if not driving. Best go to Hampden Station and past the industrial estate then long walk past gold club. Took around 30 mins.
