There are events taking place at the bandstand practically every night. There is plenty of seating and the ambience is great in the open air.

After the show they let off some fireworks for this particular one and it was a lovely finish to the night

The Eastbourne Bandstand is a jewel in the crown of Eastbourne. The event we saw culminated in the 1812 Overture, with fireworks. The band was fantastic, and the programme that is put on over the season has something for everyone. Do not miss this.

The weather was rather cold and windy but in true British spirit we donned our coats, hummed sang and clapped along to the band and enjoyed a hot chocolate to warm us up ready for the 1812 firework finale
A fun evening

Had an evening there with the 1812 overture band. Quite cold and I went back to the hotel to get the car rug and they did a firework display in line with the 1812 overture. We were there 2 weeks and on the second week we didn't go in but just sat on the prom and listened to the band and got a better view of the fireworks!!!
Busy Bandstand and some good stuff on

We saw a band called The Jive Aces, although not my type of music the skill of the musicians and quality of the lead singers was great.

During the summer they have weekly performances of a classic band along with fireworks to wrap up the show. A great community event to enjoy with family or friends.

The bandstand is a great place to see singers, musicians and tribute bands; we saw a Take That tribute band here and the atmosphere was great. There are all sorts of styles of music ranging from bands to crooners like Tom Fitzpatrick.

Seating has to be paid for if there is a concert and though you can stand outside and listen the sound barriers block a lot of it. !*12 overture with fireworks is every Wednesday

In a superb location and being able to listen to the music and eat good food is a delight. Staff worked very hard as they seemed to be a few short.

excellent seating, sea front location sheltered and well sign -posted- watch out for the sea gulls! We were disappointed that nothing was offered for the May Bank Holiday Monday - everything started the weekend after.

Able to enjoy a first class concert with an excellent firework display at the end all for £7.50. No matter what the weather you can enjoy this entertainment.

The weather was not kind to this attraction. The music sounded great but we did not risk paying for entry, just listened for a while.

Had a stroll down here on the Wednesday night and although we didn't go in, the music was lovely to listen to with some beautiful fireworks to finish of the night.

As a performing Musician & Music Librarian I have always had a passion for our musical heritage, particularly where Victorian & Edwardian Music Hall is concerned. Imagine my delight when I finally got to experience first hand a live performance with fire works in this wonderfully authentic setting.
Of particular importance is a wonderful memorial to cellist John Wesley Woodward, who so tragically perished with fellow musicans on board the Titanic The fact that this delightful attraction is in such good condition & used regularly for public performance does this lovely seaside town huge credit. Long may it continue to provide such pleasure to audiences from all over the world.

This is a great night out on the refurbished bandstand with a great brass band playing lots of popular tunes and the finale was a magnificent firework display to the music of the 1812 overture.

We attended the 1812 - Crawley Millenium band were on form, playing lesser known marches and inviting audience sing along's for the Oliver and My Fair Lady arrangements. The 1812 itself (timed to fireworks) went of perfectly. Only minor annoyance was a couple of ladies who really should have known better, chattering through some of the music.

We went to see the Battle Town Band on a fairly chilly evening in May. A great selection was played and it ended with the 1812 overture. Excellent! Tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks were available but the toilets are outside and up steps and you have to pay 20p, which is a good idea but a warning would have been useful.

Eastbourne Bandstand is the perfect companion to the Pier, it still has its Victorian Elegance and whether you are listening to an evening concert, or just the crashing of the waves on a stormy Sunday afternoon its a great place to get some 'me time', but at the moment its covered with scaffolding and plastic while it receives some much needed TLC, so check the council website to see if it is finished before you travel!
