The banstand is a great outdoor venue as the music echoes through the air on a beautiful sunny day.

The bandstand is beautifully situated on the Grand Parade as the audience watches in ore as each piece of music is played - the music fills the air, like white fluffy clouds floating in a clear blue sky.

A picture of complete excellence, as everyone is at peace with themselves and the world as a whole - if music be the food of love, then all's right with the world.

I went to the queen tribute and they were brilliant. we got there a little late but still managed to find seats with a good view. a decent choice of drinks at a good price. only downside is the having to leave the venue to go to toilets that cost 20p but that is the only downside. me and my bf have another two trips planned

Brilliant outdoor venue. Great show & refreshments available, alcholic & non alcholic. Suitable for all ages. Great atmosphere.
Even get fireworks at the end of the show. Great value for money!

A beautiful bandstand - did not hear any music on this occasion but imagine it would be lovely and easy to hear. Good design -
fits in well along the esplanade.

A bit shabby and tired looking
We're sure it'll look much better once the work has been finished
Not far to walk from hotel, Town Centre or Pier. In fact its right on the beach. Not much going on at the moment except refurb work

This is out of action at the moment, with scaffolding and tarpaulins all over it! Usually a busy hub of activity with lots of entertainment from tribute bands.

Sadly the famous bandstand was still scaffolded and under renovation when we visited. We'll just need to come back again soon - opens late spring so not too long to wait. Looking forward to some super tribute shows in the open air

Council and sponsers doing wonderful things to this landmark building. We look forward to the completion of works. Our visit in March 2014 could see the potential.

The bandstand is currently under wraps. I would imagine it is having restoration work due to bad weather although it was like this 2 months ago as well

The bandstand was under scaffolding and covers when we visited on the 1st Feb '14 but judging by the location and photos of previous events it looks like a great place to enjoy some open air music in better weather. Will try and plan our next visit around a concert date.

If you are visiting Eastbourne this winter don't be put off by the
works currently being carried out on our bandstand. Come the
summer once it has been restored to its former glory we can look forward to a wide variety of summer entertainment. I sang
in a couple of conerts there in the 1980's and the acoustics
are great.

Eastbourne Bandstand- take a trip down memory lane, imagine yourself in Victorian attire ambling along the seafron and stopping a while to take in the melodious efforts of local musicians. This is a wonderful iconic sight on Eastbourne seafront which provides locals and tourists with a variety of shows throughout the year.
I have spent many a Boxing Day morning bopping along in my xmas hat to the FREE show whilst watching the dippers take their traditional charity swim in the sea alongside the Bandstand.
You should definately partake in the evenings alfresco entertainment if you can. There are a number of fabulous tribute band concerts on throughout the summer. What a wonderful way to spend a summers evening after a day on the beach. You can book tickets online or at the little box office beside the Bandstand. Prices are fair for tickets but as expected rather pricey at the little bar inside the lower circle.Book early if your favourite tribute band are on as tickets can sell out quickly as these events are very popular.

The Bandstand is showing signs of needing a little care and attention, but is due for a refurbishment.
But the most appealing attraction of the Bandstand is the quality of the musical entertainment. Most evenings throughout the summer, right up to September, there are superb bands on stage at extremely reasonable prices, an in an atmospheric setting, including the fantastic Johnny Spice Swing Orchestra .

A night spent in a very unusual setting listening to live music featuring a tribute to Amy Winehouse. It seems strange to listen to music in England in the open air during the evening. Normally I would only attend shows in a theatre, however, on this occasion it was enjoyable to be able to be outside on a pleasant evening. The Bandstand is a historic setting which is due to undergo urgent structural repairs, however, it is unique and deserves support. In previous years it has hosted the top military bands and the sound quality is very good. The stage is very close to the audience and at many tribute shows, audiences get up to dance to enhance the occasion. Tribute Acts perform every Friday between June and September and most tastes are covered. Bee Gee and Abba tribute acts are very popular, however, acts for the current generation are also catered for. I will certainly be supporting this venue next summer.

Take a trip to yesteryear with this beautiful bandstand. Lots of concerts during the summer with plenty of seating.
My fondest memory was watching couples, some of them in their 80's and 90s, wrapped up in thick coats and scarves to protect then against the bitter cold, clinging to each other, dancing to a Waltz on the Boxing Day dance! It brought tears to my eyes.

One of the few Seaside resorts to have a Bandstand on the seafront that has concerts to suit most musical tastes -year round. Christmas Day and Boxing Day are buzzing -be there or be square!!!
