We had booked in here for dinner as we’re staying at a nearby hotel which was less that 5 mins walk away.
Really friendly welcoming staff and nice atmosphere, we were pleasantly surprised when told there would be live music on next to where we were sat as we don’t get much of that in Essex so was a great surprise. I had the halloumi sticks to start (best I have ever had!) followed by the vegan chilli with rice and side of nachos, this was sooo good and full of flavour!
My partner had the chicken wings and the quiche and he said all his food was great too! We both had a really lovely evening listening to the music and enjoying delicious food!

Popped in for a drink on our way back to our hotel. They had live music on and the pub was really busy. Really friendly staff and looked like a lovely pub

This pub was close to our guest house so we popped in on our first night staying. We were wecomed and had a nice drink, so made it our first stop each night as we went out to eat.
We ate here one evening and the food was good too. We had a huge bowl of sharing Nachos followed by a burger and ribs. They were all great but we left having eaten too much :-)

I was stopping at the Share View hotel in Eastbourne for a few days and visited the Crown & Anchor which was next door. The food was very good and the menu had plenty choices definitely worth a visit.

A lovely pub with good home cooked food. Great variety on the menu, inclusive of vegan and gluten-free. Personally I loved the big lamb shank with roast potatoes and veggies (on a Monday). Lovely service and a pleasure to see the bar staff polishing with Brasso in between friendly polite service. If in Eastbourne don’t bother going anywhere else, a great pub with great food and a warm welcome.

Top pub. Just across the road from hotel where 8 of us were staying for weekend following the mighty Hungerford Town FC...not so mighty this weekend unfortunately. Made great base camp, seafront location close to pier, but also not far from selection of other bars and restaurants away from the sea.. Pleasant vibe, very decent food, friendly staff, TVs for watching sport. Recommended

Super little pub, met friends for dinner when visiting Eastbourne and they booked here.
Dog friendly and really friendly staff, greeted you on arrival and even offered table service for drinks.Food was amazing and they have Mount Gay rum! My favourite!
Loved it so much we went back the next day to try more of the menu and had the same experience again and it didn’t disappoint.
If we lived locally this would without doubt be my local.

Visited during an afternoon out in Eastbourne, exactly what we needed, dog friendly, nice selection of food and quiet enough for a newly breastfeeding mum to feel comfortable.
