The new cinema looks good, is clean, has great sound and picture, helpful staff and the seats are very comfortable. The seating in the screens is on a slope so you get a good view without someone's head being in front. This does however mean that there are steps up to the seats in most screens which I struggle with as I have limited mobility. I asked a member of staff about access and he took me on a tour to show me the access lift which takes you to a corridor that has doors to the back of most screens (1,2,3,6,7,&,8 I think). This is great for me as I can get step free access to the seats in the back row. I now have an unlimited card and use it regularly which makes it great value.

Ok venue... lights stayed on into the film, but no major drama... drinks and food the normal rip off...

This is the best cinema in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. It is on the top floor of the new extension in the Beacon and is quite modern. There are self service ticket machine and a few snacks stands. There are quite a lot of screen (8 I think) and they are big. Sadly haven’t found a way to combat your eyes hurting when you come out of the screen and I’m very disappointed about that. ;)

I prefer to sit further back for a better viewing experience but the handrail stops half way up the stairs and for those of us who don't feel secure without something to hang onto it's quite unnerving. I don't understand why the rail doesn't go all the way to the top of the stairs.

Raised seating good. Loads of escalotors to even get in. No good if walking difficulties, now have to pay for parking whereas it was free at Sovereign Harbour.

Always feels like it's in a state of chaos but it's nice and clean and a big upgrade on seats etc compared to the old one! Screens are HUGE so I wouldn't advise sitting right at the front!

We've been to the Arndale Centre in Eastbourne several times but not since it's been revamped and extended. Parked in the Ashford Road car park that's free on Sundays, and accessible with bright red and green tarmac for visibility.

Lifts all in good order, escalators up to Cineworld above. There's a Nando's, which we may try next time.

Booking online is easy, and a QR code scanned at one of the 3 termini delivers the tickets. Usual over-priced drinks - 6GBP for two drinks! But hey ... and accessible loos - and plenty of them! My cup runneth over!

Seats are very roomy for fidgety self and plenty of legroom for tall husband. Volume not too horrendously loud, even 3 rows from the front. Definitely worth a second trip.

Can't get enough of Cineworld as I have an unlimited card with them
(I get free entry to standard 2D and 3D films, get discounts on food etc...)

Can't fault much at all, however it is a bit of a walk and a pain to find first time. A bit of signposting throughout the shopping centre would be nice, however I last visited when it was newly built so that might have changed by now.

My main complaint with this is the staff behind the counter. They can't go any slower. No sense of urgency between any of them.

The member of staff who served me couldn't seem to get card payments working, so she said I had to queue somewhere else. There was a working till directly next to her, so why she couldn't have saved the hassle for me, the rest of her customers and her self by just using that one, I'll never know.

So in the end I queued twice, service was slow, so it took me over double the amount of time that it should have done, just to get a drink. I walked away empty handed in the end out of frustration, any longer and I would have missed the start of the film.

Other than this mishap, I have nothing bad to say about Cineworld Cinemas in general.

Overall, I want to round this review off with something nice, despite the staff here being a bit clumsy and unorganised, they are generally helpful. I'm not too sure why people are making complaints about the lighting, it's a cinema, it's going to busy, loud and bright. That's a standard setting for any establishment in the entertainment sector.

I think the setting and mood lighting for this establishment is perfect. The seats are comfortable and offer plenty of legroom and come with armrests and drinks holders.

It looks feels and smells like a modern day cinema should. I haven't yet tried out the HFR (High Frame Rate) showings but i'm certainly looking forward to it and witnessing the glorious picture fluidity and quality of the screens here.

Cineworld has always been a huge step ahead of any other cinemas, (Odeon i'm looking at you), and I will always continue to enjoy their services and high quality screens.

The staff are pleasant and helpful and the seats excellent but the live opera screening on Saturday12th October was not a good experience. The whole of the first Act was ruined because the sound wasn't working properly. There were two intervals but the cinema lights were not turned back down at the end of each one resulting in a member of the public having to get up and go out to request this each time. The tickets are more expensive than normal cinema tickets and the cinema is relatively new, presumably having an up to the minute sound system, so we didn't expect this kind of experience.

Lovely staff and really comfortable seats. Dangerous not having rails in some screens. There are two lifts to the cinema and the second one is hidden.
You go up an escalator with black walls and reach Las Vegas a dazzling black and red floor. Shame you can't look ahead to whats screening in the near future.
If you purchase tickets from the machines its obvious whats on at the cinema but there are a lot of old people in Eastbourne and if you queue for your tickets there is no signage as to whats on,
