This fish and chip shop trumps every single one in East Sussex!!! The cod was absolutely perfectly cooked. The batter was amazing not at all oily!! It’s all cooked fresh so don’t expect to see it in the display cabinets . The chips were particularly tasty. There is two tables so you can if you want eat in which is what my partner myself and my friend did . The price was really good 😊 We will most definitely be going back at some point in the very near future……. So trust me and give them a try you won’t be disappointed x

Carter's is a wonderful family run Fish and chips shop and very reasonably priced. Always obliging along with excellent service also suitable disabled access inside the shop, highly recommend.

Nice food and very pleasant chaps doing the cooking. Very hot fish and chips - we drove to a nearby dark sky location to see the line of planets and the fish was still too hot for our fingers!

Visiting Pevensey Bay and was recommended Carters fish ‘n’ chips by a local boat skipper.<br>After trying other shops on previous visits and not being impressed this was a fantastic takeaway meal for four. Outstanding quality food,reasonably priced, and the shop was spotlessly clean. Staff were courtesy and friendly while waiting for fish to be cooked to order.Would definitely recommend and will be eating from here again.

We were walking the dogs and didn't fancy cooking so popped into this fish and chip restaurant. Owners were very friendly, food was amazing, I'm not a big fan of fish and chips but wow it was lovely. My daughter really enjoyed her chicken and mushroom pie and chips too. Imo the price was amazing too! Colour me impressed.

I don't usually give reviews but this place is the Best fish and chip shop in town everything is super tasty and fresh, friendly staff. It's like the chip shops I remember when I was young. Fresh food and friendly staff. Where most places now have<br>rude / miserable staff, that serve you shoe leather and polystyrene lol. Try this place you will never need to go anywhere els 😉

Great social distancing measures, I really love the Homemade fish cake , Haddock is very tasty ,I have also tried the pies , all of these go well with their lovely chips. Plenty of parking space in front of chippy.
