We spent two nights in this hotel.
The room was spacious and the views of the sea and the pier were amazing.
The staff was very friendly.
The breakfast was excellent.

We’ve had a four night stay with Caledonian coach trips. The staff were lovely especially Sam the bar manager and her assistants. The food was good a lot of choices at evening meal, but not at breakfast only scrambled eggs no fried or poached. The evening entertainment was disappointing only on for two nights and no bingo. But if you only want a quiet couple of days it’s a nice hotel.

It was my birthday and I was upgraded to a lovely sea view room, gorgeous Fantastic room 213, great view but the beds was too hard but apart from that, a lovely large room The hard beds and not being able to find the car park due to road works. The no entry sign on the back road should be temporarily covered up/changed

Parking facilities and price Location and view was spot on an local to the shops and beach Car parking charge was annoying and over charged. Didn't expect this charge on top of the hotel charge. The bathroom needed an air vet fitted. Room got hot when you had a shower
You couldn't open the side window fully, as the sash cord was broken

Nice break in a location we know very well. We were at the hotel because we were going to a performance at the Royal Hippodrome in the evening and it was so convenient to be able to walk there with ease. Not being young any more, we find it more convenient not to have to drive home late at night even though our journey is only 30 miles. It was also great to be able to park the car in the car park.
The breakfast was excellent - well cooked with plenty of choice.
The Burlington is very dear to us because 60 years ago we got engaged in your hotel bar which is now the Belgian Cafe.
The hotel in general and our room was extremely warm (no air conditioning) so we opened our window. As we were facing the sea it meant that it was extremely noisy until well into the early hours of the morning with people and traffic. Not really the hotel's fault but we didn't get much sleep.

It is ok ish the staff make it. The staff. All the staff were friendly happy and helpful. Couldn’t fault them they make up for the bad bits. They couldn’t do enough for you. Very polite. That the rooms are not serviced. If you put the card out they do a necessary but don’t make the bed. The rooms need a good clean, around the shower the toilet brush, they don’t Hoover or clean the bathroom floor. They do not clean the rooms to my expectations. If you ask they will do a tidy up but not really a clean or make the bed. the cups were not cleaned. I had to ask at reception for replenishments. The hotel is very tired. The good news is somebody/people have bought the hotel.
Not enough is told on arrival you get in your room after a long drive and know nothing. No notes in your room (as I have always come to expect) notes on meal times local attractions.buses etcJust a board at reception. Breakfast is a buffet and has all what you would expect. Only scrambled eggs but that’s ok. Cereals lovely croissants. Fruit nice coffee in the urn. Can’t complain. Evening was also alright not gourmet but ok.

Really liked it here despite some of the negative reviews. Excellent location on the front with easy walk into town. Staff excellent. Needs some money spending on it. Our room was ok but some of the corridor carpets and windows need replacing, but knew this before we booked.

The location of the hotel was very easy to find. It was on the front beach where we had the chance to see and visit lots of places. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel offered a lot of facilities and our room had a view of Eastbourne Pier. The bar offered a variety of drinks and l enjoyed a cocktail. I liked the breakfast with the food choices. It was easy to check in and out. Definitely, we are coming back again. I expected a fridge in my room since l have a child and he wanted to drink orange juice most of the time. It was very hot and the fridge was very necessary for the water and drinks. The window of the room was open in half so he had to call someone at 11 pm to close it because we had a child in the room and it was a hazard. The room was generally clean but not very clean. The fan was lot of dust l had to clean myself because l used it. The bathroom tub was dirty not clean long time. The toilet and the sink washer as well. The corner of the ceiling had a small spider web and the lights as well. The furniture and TV were with a lot of dust and l had to clean myself. The cleaning service only changed the bins and the towels and the bed sheets the rest was not. The hanging of the clothes was rusty and broken. I stayed 4 nights and l expected the cleaning service to change the cup of coffee and spoon but no l had to clean myself. The hair and hand shampoo was not of good quality l didn't use it at all l got mine that l bought. The bathroom had mould and moisture. It's a huge hotel so shame that some things especially cleaning need to be improved.
