I stayed with my sister in room 343 and my sister in law in room 342. From when we arrived on Monday 28th November to Friday 2nd December we had no heating or hot water. On complaining to the manager I was told they had a problem with both but it was being rectified.
Also told by Wednesday everything was sorted and the radiators in our room had been checked.
Never had hot water or heating all the time we were staying there.
Needless to say I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. But must say our room was clean and the staff were lovely.

I have always wanted to stay at this Victorian hotel opposite the pier in Eastbourne, and this week, I was able to do just that, and by golly, I am so glad that I did.
At the reception desk, a smiling, friendly and very helpful lady who I established was called Yvonne, and she was the reception manager.
She explained the usual do's and dont's about the hotel, and duly gave us our keys to the room on the second floor twin room overlooking the sea and the pier.
The room was warm, clean and suited us down to the ground.
After a quick wash, we made our way down to the restaurant, where we were greeted again by a very friendly, humorous lady named Daniell, who showed us to our table and menu;s etc.
Tonight was no different to all the other times we either went down for breakfast or dinner, Danielle was there, showering everyone with polite conversation and her humour, which in these trying times was completely acceptable, it was fun, it was just what the doctor ordered in a manner of speaking.
The entertainment was professional each evening, and suited the guests staying there.
We had small reasons to go and see Yvonne again, who also made good conversation and was extremely helpful.
This hotel is a good one to stay at, ok, its not the Ritz, but what you loose on the roundabouts, you gain on the swings with members of staff like Danielle and Yvonne to ensure your stay is a good one.
I throughly recomend it.

Went for afternoon tea as a surprise for a friends birthday. Was completely blown away, the food spread was incredible. Staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and happy to help. We was here for about 3 hours with no pressure from the staff of having to hurry out like most places I have been too. Very relaxing lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful. Only difficulty is there is no disabled toilet on ground floor if you need the toilet you must go in lift to basement and walk along a long corridor. Lifts need to be updated as when you go in small lift you get stuck in it as my aunty did.

Great and very helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Lovely position right on the front, but very dated, something's things like the lifts were a novelty. Staff friendly although some were obviously new 2 their job

Rooms were a great price. Excellent location. Food was great and the staff were amazing and friendly. Good packed lunch available. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be back at some point in the future.

Right on the seafront, nice bar well priced and a great atmosphere. Only problem was our room was next to the lift so we could here them all morning and evening. Staff were very friendly and entertainment was good fun.

Right on the sea front practically opposite the pier so great view. Room was spacious but nothing fancy. Strange sloping floor! Very limited restaurant menu but food was on the table in minutes!

Nice hotel but the rooms are in need of a refurbishment. OK for a one night stay but not sure I would want to stay for any longer. Great location.

Decided to go away for half term as the weather was nice and ended up booking a hotel in Eastbourne as we were on a budget and you can always get hotels for cheap in this town, which is great as there is loads to see and do in this area.
We'd never stayed at the Burlington before but it seemed like a good hotel for the price, especially as it was right opposite the pier and just round the corner from the main high street. We actually got 2 nights here for less than the price of hotels in nearby locations like Hastings and Brighton!
Our initial impressions were excellent, it wan an imposing Victorian hotel right on the seafront and we were able to park right outside. We were checked in quickly by a very friendly member of staff and went up to our room. Again we were impressed, the room was huge and had everything you could need - table and chairs, hairdryer, drawers and wardrobe, desk, several mirrors, big bed with double pillows, bedside tables etc. The only minus was the shower, which was over the bath and connected to the taps, so not very powerful, but we coped ok.
We had booked breakfast and cannot fault that at all, in fact it was excellent. The staff greeted us in the huge and very stylish restaurant and couldn't do enough for us - even pouring tea/coffee, getting milk and juice for us etc. There was a good range of food, it was all very fresh, warm and ultimately tasty. Definitely the best value for money buffet breakfast I have had in a hotel.
The hotel was still being painted and refurbished while we were here but it didn't inconvenience us and the parts they had done, like our room and the main bar, had been done very tastefully indeed.
We would definitely stay here again, we had a really pleasant and enjoyable stay.
