Apart from the meal , fine.
Room clean and roomy.view was excellent. Majority of staff were very polite , friendly and helpful
No instructions to operate the shower and coffee machine.
We paid fo dinner one night and had problems with a waitress who despite checking with receptionist didn’t believe we had paid.My wife’s meal was fine but mine was ruined by unwanted dressings on the starter and runny apple sauce poured over the pork main course.
I should have been asked if i wanted these as they were not mentioned on the menu. It spoilt my meal. I didn’t make a fuss as it was my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary and I didn’t think it appropriate.

Great view from the room and very good location. Parking facilities also make it a good choice. Seafront bar is nice to have a drink in.

All was good. Yes it’s a little tired but see past that and look at the location, views, a bit of entertainment, proximity to the town centre and facilities and walks and the friendly staff and you can’t beat it

Despite the above negatives, we had a pleasant stay and would probably visit again.
Perfect location on sea front. Fourth floor room was excellent. Staff were delightful. Entertainment was, well, entertaining! Food was enjoyable.
Lower floors felt a bit dated and gone to seed a little. Carpet in dining area was aged and in need of replacing, lifts were shabby, and only one was working, and despite obvious recent re-decoration, the whole ground floor needs a serious decor uplift. Eg there were obvious damp spots around the ceilings of the dance floor. However, we understand those plans are in hand.

Check in was easy and quick. Very pleasant, efficient receptionist. The room was of good size, very well heated, large bathroom, excellent shower and very hot water. I was extremely pleased

Great 2 night stay with breakfast.
Hotel has great seafront position opposite the lovely pier. Hotel is dated as is a old building, room was spacious and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good and view out to sea.

Eastbourne short stay
It was an old fashioned building that had been there many a year, but I found it very hospitable, friendly and welcoming
Only thing I would say was negative was the size of the lift, you could barely fit 4 people in and considering the size of the place needs to be looked at

The room was very basic and the building is a bit run down, the shower had very little pressure. however for what we paid it was absolutely fine. the view was to the rear of the hotel, but that was fine we were not spending lots of time in the room.
the food was very good, the bar prices were very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. we would stay again but would pay a bit more for a better room.

The receptionist was pretty amazing very helpful lady I understand she used to work in the restaurant left but came back to work at reception. She has it all to make you feel warm and she was very welcoming a true leader people like her are hard to find
