The Burlington had some mixed reviews which made us a little apprehensive but we had an absolutely fantastic stay and would not hesitate to book again. It was excellent value for money for a lovely room with a sea view. The room had a warm, cosy feel and was very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we both slept well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The bar has a lovely sea view, Ethan and Danielle were polite, humorous and played some perfect tunes for a sunny afternoon. The breakfast was a buffet and had everything you would need. Alberto was so helpful in recommending a table and quickly cleaned it for us as the previous guests left.
Highly recommended from us and we will definitely be staying again. Many thanks to all for making our rare stay away perfect!

Good location, reasonable price, would be happy to stay again.
Efficient reception staff, had upgraded to better room for small extra cost and had requested lower floor/near lift. Staff had correct room ready when we arrived.
Very pleasant room, comfy bed, great view and a bit more spacious than some we have stayed in - Superior Twin with sea view.
Buffet style breakfast, light and pleasant dining room.
Lift worked fine. Stains on bedroom carpet.
Very shabby in some of the common areas - especially bashed woodwork on stairway.

This is a very nice, old-worldly hotel with modern services at the best spot in Eastbourne: the promenade. The view is fantastic and you only have to cross the road for a stroll along the beach or a swim.
Our room was large but sparsely furnished: all the basics but good quality.
The breakfast was excellent, there’s a bar where you can take away a drink up to your room or sit down to enjoy your drink as well as the view.
The staff are helpful and there’s a large carpark right behind the hotel.

Super rooms, do not be put off by the entrance and lift
The room was large, very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well stocked with enough towels and toiletries.
The entrance, common areas and lift look very tired. This does not give a great impression.

There is no denying the hotel is showing it's age in places but this only adds to its charm. Given it's fascinating history and location this hotel is great value for money and we will come back again!

Nice room and location for price
Room was nice despite being a rear double it was spacious and had comfy bed.
Bathroom was perfectly adequate

I didn't like that staff stand in silence looking at customers eat ! lol it can feel uncomfortable to be honest

Hot food counter had an odd odour i don't know if it was the scrambled eggs or another food item but it was off putting

Good value for price but not for long stay
Great location. Own car park (didn't use) but good value for £6 if I had. I knew I could park 6pm-8am on sea front free.
Staff friendly and efficient Drab decor throughout. Colour combination of 3 colour tones of Dove grey, sea mist green and something between the two. On a wet Autumn October night certainly doesn't lift your spirts. Room decor not much better as continues. Furniture adequate but a cheaper version of IKEA.

No coffee provided after dinner. Tired restaurant we were placed by a window which was desperate for redecoration. No background music in restaurant.

Not like it used to be, now tired with a lack of entertainment and also for example no coffee after dinner, with room not serviced completely as you would expect. But very friendly service from staff making our stay pleasantly enjoyable and good WiFi.
