Hotel looking very tired. Rooms need a refurb. Fed up of being put in the worst rooms when using booking.com.
It was welcoming. Very Christmassy inside. Evening singer on both nights was brilliant

Receptionist was very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was tidy and clean. Elevator very antique and very tiny. A bit scary. With a bit more care, polish/repairs and modernisation it could be very lovely hotel at great location.

In need of an update
The hotel is located on the sea front so a good location. Parking is easy close by.
Check in was quick as I checked in online before hand. The hotel is very dated inside including the room. The bathroom left a lot to be desired as the bathroom suite was a horrible. Shade of green/brown with a mismatched loo seat and sink with more silicone around everything that I've ever seen before, the silicone must be difficult for the cleaners to keep clean as lots of it were black. The lino in the bathroom was also clearly old as it had yellowed.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and you could hear and feel the springs everytime you moved, so made for a poor nights sleep.
The room was also very hot with no way of regulating the temperature in the room, obviously you can open a window but would be nice to not have to do that due to the pigeons that gather outside the window.
The carpet in the room looked new ish i think, it looked like it had just been cut to size and laid down not fitted as the edges were all scrappy, but it did look clean so not a major drama.
I stayed one night so didn't bother going to reception with this but had I booked more than one night I definitely would have discussed this with the hotel staff.

We stayed in room 410, which had great sea views and was very comfortable. The room was always a nice temperature.
The breakfast was good and the staff very helpful The reception toilets were in need of a deep clean, especially the mens cubicle.

Would’ve been preferable to be told about the parking charge prior to parking at the car park. It is very reasonable, being cheaper than the NCP nearby.

Great location by the sea front. Tasty breakfast
Location was great, parking was on street and not very expensive considering location. Staff were lovely. I actually stayed in 2 different rooms as I extended a business trip and stayed in deluxe room and single standard.
Sleep at standard single room was actually better vs Deluxe room as the room was right next to the lifts and foot traffic was busier. The staff member returned a call to one of the visitors around 1-2am nearby my room and it woke me up so wasn't amazing but it was very minor. Would still stay again

Location. It’s a beautiful hotel. Room was nice with a fabulous sea view.
The room was sweltering. We had to have all the windows open all night an it was 4 degrees outside. However there was a fan in the room that we weirdly didn’t see. So we could have sorted this ourselves.

Lovely weekend in Eastbourne
We had the Superior double room with a sea view and the room was very large. It was so big the tv looked small while sitting in the bed. The breakfast was lovely with lots of hot fresh food.
Nothing really. You could really picky and say that it needs decorating and new carpets but it was clean and comfortable.
The one thing I didn't like much was the lifts, very small.

Very nice last minute stay, just what we needed after a rubbish year
