Not somewhat, but entirely a legend, when telling friends and family you’re going for dinner at Anema e Core in Eastbourne there is a very good chance that everyone will respond with a resounding and enthusiastic (plus a hint of jealousy) “Anema e Core” It’s amazing/I love it there/you’ll love it”. If you haven’t been before and go for the first time, The first thing to note is to book – before walking inside, overhearing the manager explain to two hopeful diners they’d have to wait 45 minutes for seats (and hearing them eagerly accept) gave us the impression this was going to be a dining experience worth waiting for. This, along with the strong smell of truffle wafting out onto the restaurant, drew us into the buzzing capsule of Italy that is Anema e Core. if someone is capable to write something bad about this place, you can Certainly see it is fake review coming from those places around that call their selves as ITALIAN RESTAURANTS.. Eastbourne has some “okay” italian food around, but real, authentic and good, only Anema e Core.

I have always loved Italian food but this places makes me love it even more. Forever recommending this restaurant to friends and family for its food and friendliness from the staff!! Whenever Myself or friends come in they are always greeted with a smile and the best service of course with a smile and a friendly voice. The food is just absolutely amazing, I don’t know how they do it but everything is fresh and from Italy

My girlfriend and I walked in with no reservation, and the waitress (restaurant's owner's daughter) was beyond nice in sitting us, while setting up a better table for our date. She was very professional, genuine, friendly, and very well knowledgeable about the menu. The pizza was extremely well done, and digestible, with all the ingredients (friarelli, mozzarella, and salsiccia) simply, and finely prepared. In addition, we ordered grilled seafood (swordfish and prawns) that were both very juicy, tasty, and fresh. Eventually, our waitress offered us espresso and limoncello, making this icing on the cake.

Had a family lunch the toher day and we all were surprised with the price of the set menu. The food was good and with good amount - we all were so full at the end even with two courses. The restaurant was also so kind to offer some freshly baked bread to start with. The set menus were absolutely bargain!

This place is amazing really authentic and actually run and used by Italian’s which is lovely to see . Lots of fish , Best pizzas , home made bread fresh delicious pasta great wine and actually very good value . The nicest Italian meal I have ever had in this country

Recently been to Bologna but the food I have had here is by far some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Strongly recommend their homemade wild boar ravioli, amazing. Very friendly and attentive staff, if you love Italian food and you live in Eastbourne, you must eat here, strong recommendation.

I come here with my sister for lunch,we had fritto misto and linguine del pescatore. It was the best italian food i ever had abroad!

I was looking for a restaurant to take the dinner with my girlfriend, and I hear about this restaurant. We eaten a pizza, and I realised they are the best. Thank you Valentino for the best pizza ever and anema e core family

One of my friends told me about this restaurant, and about some very nice pizzas. So, I took my family and I go directly. The staff was very nice, they always smiling. I check the menu, and I choose one pizza. I didn’t expect this, but my friend was right. That was the most amazing pizza ever I eaten.

We stumbled in and were first told that there was no tables, but they checked to be sure, and got us one. Then they said that there was a little bit of waiting to get the food, but it came practically within two minutes of the needed cooking time.
And the food was very good, both pizza and pasta. Of our dishes the wild boar ravioli was the favourite.

Excellent range of pasta pizza and meats. Really authentic and tasty, best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy in a loooong time. Great, warm service, reasonable prices too. Will return.
