From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent. Sorted our car parking permit and explained the "system" to us. We had booked x5 rooms for a birthday weekend treat. All the rooms were clean and tidy with a sea view / view of the pier. We had brought a bottle of bubbly to kick start our birthday evening and the staff were quite obliging and offered champagne glasses and an ice bucket for our bottle of booze. Decent of them. Other requests were not a bother as well. The chamber maid was very pleasant and did a great job each day. Overall, we got a great hotel at a very reasonable price with the perfect location.

Aftob Hotel is I excellent hotel hotel great location for shops food outlets the The beach And Other landmarks Rooms are clean are clean good for a weekend away Staff are nice and friendly I will go there again

Great Hotel, lovely friendly staff! Clean rooms!! We were made to feel relaxed and welcome, the location is perfect!! They should be changing more! But I guess the star rating does not allow. Give this place a go and you won't be disappointed! Please remember it is not 5 * but I am Giving it 5***** see you again soon!

We needed somewhere to stay on very short notice, with 2 dogs in tow! The Afton appeared and we went to have a look and it is great. They welcomed us and our dogs with open arms! The location is fabulous as was the view from the room. It’s a basic hotel, clean, and friendly. A bonus was the black out curtains. Joe on reception was very helpful and charming. We would stay again if we were ever in Eastbourne! Thank you for having us😊

The WiFi was free only downstairs in the living room area, however poor connection.
The sheets and towels were smelling damp.
It would've been great if it was a fridge in the room.

We made a last minute booking to take advantage of a good weather week whilst we were in Sussex for another event. Having stayed before I was familiar with the hotel already. However I found the service so friendly and helpful and the room so good. We were only 1 minute from the pier, 3 minutes from restaurants, and a couple of minutes from the seasonal stalls selling knick knacks and food. So everything close to hand, the room was clean and comfortable and we had a great sea view. The lift is a great asset at this hotel, particularly for the elderly dog who no longer does stairs. This was a really enjoyable 2 night stay

It was fantastic good food excellent staff entertainment good. Opposite the pier and close to shops. Very clean if anything just needs a little updating but that didn't bother us. I took 47 people there and they all loved it. All in our 70s 80s and 90s.

Accommodation good. Had a single room. Side view of pier. Food excellent. Good choices each night. Staff were excellent, friendly and quick nothing too much trouble. Entertainment good every evening.
Only downside was that you only had a bath towel and no hand towel. Also bar prices a bit steep but that's to be expected in a hotel.

Visited this hotel last week with our social club from Birmingham. Staff are very efficient and friendly. Couldn't fault the food. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were there this time last year and were very happy to return. Merry Christmas all.

This Hotel is really nice , the staff are very nice and friendly, the food is excellent and the Entertainment was really good , I really can’t find anything wrong with this Hotel and would definitely recommend it. Hopefully be back next year ,

Returning today from a Tinsel and Turkey weekend at the Afton Hotel. Lovely hotel, warm clean and perfect location. Staff were friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The evening entertainment was good and the food was spot on.

The hotel we should've gone to for our linedancing weekend away closed down for renovation so ended up in this little 3 star hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We were worried what the food was going to be like but shouldn't have because it was excellent (those of us with dietary requirements were well looked after). Rooms were clean, tidy and warm if a little on the small side but not overly worried about that.
The only down side was the size of the function hall and dance floor, just not big enough for everybody in our trip.
