My first time at the Afton and I enjoyed my stay. It was great value for money and very clean and comfortable. Thank you The location is great for both the beach, pier and town centre. My single room was spacious enough with a large bathroom with good shower water pressure. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and housekeeping was done to a very high standard. Yes the property may appear a little the worse for wear but it is an old building close to the seafront so why complain? Only two tiny things- No hand towels or bath mats are provided unless you request a small towel at reception- not sure why?? And my room curtain could have been better as it didn’t cover the whole window.

Dog friendly. Dog friendly!!! The shower wasn't very powerful but it was hot. Some great food places nearby. No parking. We had to walk quite a distance to find a space that wasn't disc only parking. Also, very warm room.

Good location, fairly priced. Great location, pleasant staff, clean and welcoming. I was happy with what I got, as it was fairly priced. There was a tiny bathroom and the facilities were basic and a bit run down.

Room had a see view but also a scaffolding view. Place was very central. Breakfast was too pricy so never tried it. They never put any towels out or shampoo and as we were late check in had to sort that out in early morning. Shower temperature was a bit awkward as well.

One step from the beach and the pier The location was great, very convenient for catching the beach train to the cliff and the sightseeing bus, just in front of the Pier.
Staff was helpful and friendly.

Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was also excellent. The bar could have been better stocked. There was only Fosters lager available and no ale available (not even in bottles)

Lovely staff, top location, would stay again Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful regarding parking. Amazing location. The lift broke multiple times during the stay. I don’t imagine it’s something the staff could do to help but we had to lug all our heavy things to the top floor and back!

Short break on a budget. It's a budget hotel in exellent position right opposite pier. Facilities are limited owing to coach your cancellation.
But although dates it's clean comfortable with great staff. Highly recommended.
Problems with lift (hopefully sorted)
Limited facilities(as above)

Great, we will definitely come back soon. Everything was great, nice to see a pool table in a hotel. Water pressure in our shower and the temperature was to hot or to cold.

Basic but value for money Good value for money, the single room was small but sufficient in every way. The location is good near transport, restaurants and the beach. There was some noise coming through from neighbouring rooms but not to a disturbing level on a personal level.
