We stayed at this hotel as we won a voucher and this was the only hotel to accept it in the area. We stayed in room 114 and feel that 3/5 is generous. Communication when booking was very delayed, the room was very tired but had everything needed. The shower head needs Limescale remover, toilet needs fixing to the floor / wall as moved every time it was used. Only 1 towel each, and no floor towel or hand towel provided - we took our own bathrobes so this wasn’t a huge problem for us but was disappointing, the mattress was very soft and the springs had gone, but more worryingly there were no mattress or pillow protectors 🤢 our room did have a balcony which you could sit out on and had a nice view of the pier, the building in front burnt down 3 years ago and there’s still scaffolding up protecting the ruins. This has opened up the view a bit more and sunrise on the day we left was lovely. Our room had doors that opened out onto the balcony which I loved. It is quite noisy being by the road and some of the guests that were staying there while we were there were annoying and loud during the night but this isn’t the hotels fault!

Communal spaces were not inviting or even looked open to use including the bar!

Can’t comment on breakfast as it wasn’t available when we stayed but this was advised at booking and we quite enjoyed going for a walk and choosing somewhere to eat and highly recommend Nicolettas 2 min walk behind the hotel and the Beach Deck 20 min walk out of the hotel to the left.

The location is good as you’re very central but the clock on the pier ringing every 15 minutes 8am-11pm is annoying.

Parking permit (ÂŁ2 per day) outside the hotel is good.

Behind the hotel is a good selection of eateries and the Beacon shopping centre.

Overall not bad and would probably come back if these small issues were fixed

Okish Location opposite pier Biscuit pillows and mattress from the 1700s. Metal springs poking up and as you sat or laid on bet you were virtually on the divan base.

I’d choose to stay there again but elect for a front room. Compact room with all the basics provided. Tea, coffee, electric kettle, milk, sugar. Window rattled with wind, the street was very noisy well after midnight.

Had a very nice room with a balcony .
Location was good right on the seafront.
Cannot think of anything we never had breakfast but that was our choice.
The room was very hot but that’s better than being cold just opened a window no problem.

My friend and I appreciated the receptionist's positive attitude. He was courteous, knowledgeable and available.
Rooms were clean, tidy and well ventilated.
We valued that our belongings could be looked after even after a check-out whilst we went for a walk in the nature.
Well appreciated stay and we'll definitely come back.

Great value budget hotel. The location was great.
The rooms for budget hotel were great and could not fault the staff.
Because of low occupancy no entertainment as to be expected. And could also do with snack availability.

Perfect place for a weekend away at the sea side on the budget. It has perfect location, beach front and a hotel provide ÂŁ2 parking voucher for a day. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. They are pets friendly. Very good value for money.

We stayed in a twin room with the sea view. It was great. Single beds were a good larger size. No fear of tumbelling down. Very comfortable matrass. Room and bathroom were very clean and in good condition. Great value for money.

Enjoyed my stay. I had a great view from my window. Staff very friendly and helpful No breakfast, but very nice cafe down the road No soap or gel in my room. Discovered this when actually in the shower. Soap dispensers empty. And no alternative provided. Management apologised.
Shower was very low power. Possibly flow had been regulated to provide something barely acceptable.

Fantastic quiet little hotel.
I have just had a weekend here with a coach group and the staff here make the hotel. The food is lovely for a 2 star hotel, the staff are helpfull kind and a very good laugh. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff here. I would stay here over and over again in a heartbeat.
Great value and perfect seafront location even though Eastbourne has become a bit of a dive in recent years which is a shame.

Very comfortable and made my stay a joy I found the hotel easy to find, it's right on the sea front and I had a sea view.
The room was very comfortable with private bathroom and double bed and a television, staff were helpful and friendly.
The only thing I found a problem was I only had one night there.
Nothing

It is what you pay for. We upgraded to a balcony sea view room and was very pleased we did. Great/helpful reception. We showed him where we parked and he explained it was free on a Sunday so we only paid for Monday. Room was small but comfortable and we had the sound of the sea to sleep to, yes the bell on the pier sounds every 15 minutes until 11pm but you can’t blame the hotel for that. Good location and good hotel.

No frills, but great value for money! Had an upgrade to Room with a great view of the Pier and the Sea. Spacious. Bathroom also largish.
Staff all very friendly, and seem kind. Very quiet, when we were there, especially considering how central it is.
Shower power, bit low. One side of the bed, the mattress is tired.

Great location, great value, great service. Unfortunately breakfast’s were only returning the following week but not a problem as there were several cafes/restaurants in the next street. The room cost was unbelievably great value given that the location of the hotel was amazing, directly opposite Eastbourne’s beautiful pier. To top it all, a balcony room was available and we were given it as a free upgrade. Nothing
