The 4th Brighton Summit will take place all day on Friday 14th October at the Clarendon Centre, over a series of keynote talks, discussion panels and workshops. This year, 300 business representatives are expected to gather to explore the theme 'Your desires, dreams & real business', what that means to them and how to take their businesses to the next level.

Organised by the Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce, the Summit is an annual event that brings together a diverse cross section of the business community in a day that is geared towards helping their businesses move forwards.

This past week we spoke to Cardens, the Brighton Summit headline sponsors, and supporters SkyFall, whose involvement help make events like this one possible. Here is what they had to say..

Cardens are headline sponsors of the Brighton Summit this year and have been so for the past 3 events. We sent Victoria Mason, a Partner, some questions and these were her responses...

About Cardens continuing involvement with the Summit..

‘We’ve been involved since the first summit four years ago. Supporting the chamber is important to us because we value supporting local business and community. Our involvement gives us quality time and genuine engagement with local business people, offering mutual benefits such as networking, learning and growing in size and experience.’

About this year's keynote speakers...

‘What a line-up this year’s keynote speakers make. A truly inspiring mix of backgrounds, experience, drive and success. It's this kind of line up that can shift people on a gear in their own business ideas and approaches and help make this event a brilliant opportunity for established or newer businesses alike.’

About the Summit programme...

‘A breadth and depth of experience to share from speakers and workshops combine with an energetic and informative programme. This event stands out because it really does offer it all - in one place, in one day.’

Rob Reaks, the Business Development Director at Barrow and Thomas Ltd, owners of SkyFall Restaurant in Hove had this to say about the Summit's theme, and reasons for their support this year...

"Every business starts with desire. Desire is a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.

The Barrow and Thomas Limited team are focused on achieving the sustainable success of our business portfolio, which includes property management, hospitality and technology companies.

We do this through networking, learning, sharing ideas, challenging and pushing ourselves to be better. To want to feel part of something positive, and to have fun! That goes beyond our own businesses, it takes us into the community; we partner with charities, like-minded businesses and trade bodies to create and develop new and enduring relationships.

Brighton and Hove is a city that thrives on meaningful business relationships, and the Brighton Chamber of Commerce works effectively to support and nurture it’s members to help them achieve their goals.

The Brighton Summit is a fantastic opportunity to step away from our desks for the day to focus on being better. Being better employers, being better managers and doing better businesses.

SkyFall Restaurant are delighted to be supporting the evening drinks reception, and very much look forward to the event on the 14th October."
