Catch “Halfway to Paradise”, the Billy Fury story, at the Theatre Royal on Saturday June 6. His band, Fury’s Tornados, will play hits including Last Night Was Made for Love and Jealousy. The programme at the new Brighton Open Air Theatre (B.O.A.T) is now in full swing. This Saturday you can take the kids to see the Nettle Knickers’ Puppet show, an interactive puppet theatre performance from local company Spectral Arts based on plant. The show will use folk law, fairy tales and myths combined with well-known medicinal plants. The hour long show starts at 2pm. Tickets are £6 adults, £4 children and concessions, with family tickets available too. www.brightonopenairtheatre.co.uk/

Enjoy a free Lindyhop dance class at the Open Market on Saturday June 6 at 11am. It’s being led by Brighton Lindyhoppers. So what exactly is lindyhop? It’s a “ social dance from the swing dance family, also known as the jitterbug”. It originated in Harlem in the 1920s and 1930s, along with the jazz music of that era. Tempted?
