The programme at the new Brighton Open Air Theatre (B.O.A.T) is now in full swing. This Saturday you can take the kids to see the Nettle Knickers’ Puppet show, an interactive puppet theatre performance from local company Spectral Arts based on plant. Enjoy a free Lindyhop dance class at the Open Market on Saturday June 6 at 11am. It’s being led by Brighton Lindyhoppers. So what exactly is lindyhop? It’s a “ social dance from the swing dance family, also known as the jitterbug”. It originated in Harlem in the 1920s and 1930s, along with the jazz music of that era. Tempted?
