THIS WEEK IN BRIGHTON AND HOVE:

If you’ve got kids, you’ll be desperate for something to do with them by the end of half term. The Big Day Out Children’s Food Festival could be a way of entertaining them and persuading them to try some healthy food at the same time. It’s part of the Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival and is taking place on Hove Lawns on Friday May 29. There will be a Live Food Show stage, a kids’ food edition of Latest TV’s ‘Cook It’ show and interactive workshops from local restaurants, with other activities like face painting too. See http://brightonfoodfestival.com/events/childrens-food-festival-big-day-out/

Many more Foodie events are taking place this weekend on Hove Lawns as part of the award winning Brighton and Hove Food Festival. Look out also for the Brighton Beer & Cider Festival on Friday 29, 6:30-9:30pm, entry £7; The Brighton Wine Festival Sat 30, 12pm-2pm, £20 per person; The Sussex & The World Market, Sat/Sunday, 10am-6pm, FREE entry.
