There are treats in store for you this week in Brighton and Hove, the place that's far too cool for school. Here are just a few of next week's events. 

Friday 19th April

  • Masquerade Ball - Join Proud Cabaret for a delicious three 3 course meal from 7pm onwards and enjoy being seduced in the nicest possible way by their splendid Burlesque and Cabaret Performers and Comperes. £34 each at Proud Cabaret, Brighton
  • The Complete Stone Roses - The Complete Stone Roses are one of the most successful cover bands in Britain, a worthy tribute to a classic band whose stuff sounds as fantastic now as it ever did. 7pm, £14 each at Concorde 2 on the seafront. http://brightoncabaret.com/
  • The Treason Show - Brighton’s legendary and much-loved Treason Show team returns, aiming both satirical barrels squarely at the politicians, bankers and celebrities who are currently rocking our news world. Laugh your socks off from 7:30pm, £12.50 each at the Latest Music Bar


Saturday 20th April

  • Walking Dead Guided Walk - Peter James's first two novels in the splendidly spooky Roy Grace series, Dead Simple and Looking Good Dead, have inspired this walk, a journey through the dark side of Grace's Brighton. 3-5pm. £10/£8, under-fives go free. Meet at the Visitor Information Centre in the Royal Pavilion Buildings.
  • Chas & Dave's St Georges Day Celebration - A proper Brighton cockney knees-up! Ticle your funny bones with the big two’s cheeky-chappie act and celebrate England’s special day. Head for Concorde 2 for 6pm, tickets £22.50. 


Sunday 21st April

  • London to Brighton Annual Jaguar Run – Organised by the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, expect a feast for the eyes for petrol heads and anyone who appreciates top class car design. Take your place on Madeira Drive and enjoy the spectacle! 


Monday 22nd April

  • Bedlam Crooks - In the build up to their début album, Bedlam Crooks kick off their Freedom of Noise Tour at half seven, £3 per ticket. If you love discovering hot new talent before they hit the big time, it’s your perfect Monday night’s entertainment. You’ll find them at the Latest Music Bar


Tuesday 23rd April

  • The Bipolar World Tour: An Evening with Kinky Friedman - The  irrepressible Kinky Friedman reveals international political views, particularly toward the Kinkster himself. Kinky is considering a second run for Texas governor, and all hell is about to break loose… 8:30pm, £15 at Komedia Brighton


Wednesday 24th April

  • Mick Ratman Photography - Mick Ratman began his exploration of London's vibrant music scene in the early 1960s. The images he shot are candid and raw, packed with energy. Thursday 25th April

  • Live and Swinging at the Grand - Enjoy the smooth sounds of Matthew VanKan and enjoy a fine bunch of super-talented local musicians throughout 2013 at The Grand Hotel, 8pm on Thursday nights. Beautiful surroundings, great tunes and it’s free!
