Snowdogs, beautifully decorated by artists and generously sponsored by local businesses, will be on show at the end of September during 10 weeks in streets, parks and surprising locations around Brighton & Hove.
The sculpture trail is inspired by the animated film The Snowman and The Snowdog, the hugely popular sequel to Raymond Brigg’s classic story The Snowman.
Inspiring people to become a tourist in their own city, Snowdogs will be placed not only in the city centre, but across Brighton & Hove, encouraging residents to follow the trail and discover parts of the city they may never have seen before.
The trail is being coordinated by, and will raise funds for, local charity The Martlets Hospice , who are working with Wild in Art, one of the UK’s leading creative producers of public art events.
Each Snowdog will help bring art to the streets and the people of Brighton & Hove.
The snowdogs will be displayed at various prominent location around the city, including :
- Brighton Pier
- Brighton Station
- King Alfred Leisure Centre
- Hove Museum
- Queen's park
