Komedia Brighton Team Up with Britain’s Oldest Brewer Shepherd Neame for a New Bar Line-Up

Komedia Brighton are excited to announce that they have teamed up with Shepherd Neame for a new line-up of draught beers and ciders on their bar.

 

Their brand new Komedia Pilsner (ABV 4%) is a cool, refreshing and thirst-quenching well-balanced blend of brown and lager malts, lightly hopped for a clean, crisp, refreshing taste made with Herkules hops.

 

Fans of stout will appreciate the Whitstable Bay Black Stout (ABV 4.2%), a silky keg stout brewed using a unique blend of four coloured malts which impart a rich, complex flavour, balanced by the finest Admiral hops, and finished with a smooth, creamy head.

 

The new house cider is Orchard View Cider (ABV 4.5%), a clear mid golden in colour and lightly sparkling with a fresh bittersweet apple aroma and characteristic smoky cedar wood notes.

 

Pale ale lovers should try the Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale (ABV 4.8%), a deep gold American Pale Ale with light caramel notes and a robust bitterness, boasting citrus, pine and fruit aromas made with Cascade and Amarillo hops imported from the US combined with native British Boadicea hops.

 

For those who enjoy Kronenburg, Hürlimann (ABV 4.8%) will hit the spot. A Swiss-style helles lager, with a light bodied blend of grassy hops and sweet biscuit malt that finishes with a refreshing crisp bite.

 

From the US comes Samuel Adams Boston Lager (ABV 5.0%), a deep, full-flavoured yet balanced amber lager made with Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Tettnang Tettnanger Noble Hops using traditional, German methods.

 

Last but not least is the Angry Orchard Rose Cider (ABV 5.5%), made with rare, red flesh apples from France, adding an irresistible rosy blush and apple-forward taste with a refreshing dry finish, perfect for summer.

 

As a fellow independent business, Shepherd Neame understand the importance of supporting local breweries and so Komedia with also have Sussex Ales on cask, a local craft rotation on tap and further local craft cans in the fridge with current breweries including Unbarred, Gun and Holler.

 

Britain’s oldest brewer Shepherd Neame has been based in the market town of Faversham, Kent for over 300 years. The independent family business boasts more than 300 pubs and hotels throughout London and the South East.
