Garden jobs to do in the Winter
9th November 2009

This is the time of year to be having a quick look around the garden for the sort of jobs that are messy! Messy in that they require a lot of work carried out in the flower beds, around sensitive planting and potentially disrupting plants and features that you want to look their best in the coming year.

Fencing that may need repair or replacement is the obvious things to tackle when making sure you are not going to damage any precious plants and areas that will return to their splendour for the spring. The work is carried out with the minimum of fuss and can set off your flower beds with an impressive back drop to the garden.

Did you know that for most deciduous trees November through to February is generally considered to be the best time of year to carry out those tree jobs that you noticed back in the summer?  Regular maintenance is the key to keeping trees looking good and maintaining their size and shape. The longer you leave a tree growing, the least likely you are able to keep it just the way you want it.
