Fatboy Slim will become the first music artist to play at the American Express Community Stadium.
The gigs to be held on June 1 and June 2 in 2012 was officially announced just at the American Express Community Stadium Albion’s game with West Ham to a tumultous reception by 10,000 fans waving specially-made Fatboy Slim flags, just before kick-off.The Big Beach Boutique 5 will also feature musical artists such as Brighton-based DJ Carl Cox and dubstep duo Nero with more acts set to be announced shortly.
Norman Cook (aka Fat Boy Slim) was quoted as saying to the Argus: "The four previous beach boutiques were a terrific celebration of my life with the city and we’re moving that to the most beautiful new venue.
"Obviously being an Albion fan and having marched and petitioned for Falmer in the first place, to be able to do the inaugural gig at the Amex stadium is the thrill of a lifetime.
"It will be the event of the year for Brighton and the event of my life.”
Albion season ticket holders can get their tickets from today.
Brighton locals with a BN postcode will be able to buy tickets from 9am on Wednesday 26th October for an early bird price of £35 from www.ticketline.net.
From 9am on Friday 28th October tickets will go on general sale via the website
Both gigs will start at 3pm and go on to 10.30pm.
