Brighton is officially the social life capital of the UK, with almost half of its adult population [48.7%] enjoying a good night out at least once a week.

The research conducted by the Deltic Group, which operates PRYZM in Brighton, is part of its quarterly Night Out Index that tracks consumer habits.

Of those surveyed, 30.6% of people in Brighton said that a good night out has a positive impact on their confidence. They also spend the most money on clubbing each month than any other night out activity.

Damian King, general manager of PRYZM Brighton, said: “The survey shows that having a good night out is really important for people of all ages in Brighton, who enjoy a broad range of activities from going to the pub, bar or club to visiting a cinema, bowling or dining”. “Nearly 40% felt that a night out was very important to their social life and gave them a real feel good factor. This not only has a positive impact on people’s mental well-being but is giving a massive boost to the local economy and helps to create a thriving, buzzing city, which is what makes Brighton such a great place to live and visit.” The report surveyed 2,444 people across the UK and was conducted by Censuswide. The Deltic Night Out Index is quarterly and offers insight into the UK night out economy and consumer trends.

The Deltic Group is the largest dedicated late night operator with 57 venues throughout the UK, employing more than 3,000 people.
