I stayed here for 3 nights for business as I had an exam in the Pennine Suite and I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised. I hadn’t done any research as this was a work trip so didn’t know what to expect. I arrived around 9pm and it wasn’t easy to park at the front of the hotel but there is plenty of overflow parking at the back of the hotel. Reception was quick and friendly and I was pleased with my room - a classic bedroom (64). The decor was nice, it was clean, very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a nice big tv and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was fine, could do with some updating but perfectly adequate. In true Alex Polizzi style, I would prefer to have pillow protectors as the pillows were a bit tatty. They could also had been a bit firmer but they were still adequate. Breakfast was in a lovely room behind reception. The food was nice, hot food on request on the days I visited and it was lovely and fresh. The winner for me was the location. Had the lady on reception not suggested one of the car parks to use that had easy access to reception, I might have missed the area to the rear of the hotel - how lovely this area was. Just like a village street. As I had to revise in my room, I took a few walks out in the day and night and loved it. There are some shops in the ‘street’, The Drop Inn pub, hairdressers plus a fountain, postbox amongst black and white buildings. Some shops were lit up at night and looked lovely. The little pathways between buildings and courtyards were so nice and I even showed a colleague who was also at my exam and within a couple of minutes was considering taking his girlfriend for a spa day! The Pennine Suite was nice, very big and had what we needed. I didn’t get chance to use the spa. I did use room service which took a few phone calls to get through but was very quick once ordered. It wasn’t always the hottest but it did have to be walked from the restaurant! Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again in my own time.

This is a lovely hotel and spa. Our Valentine's Day package included overnight stay, breakfast, 3 course evening meal with a glass of wine and spa access. The spa was very relaxing and we had no trouble accessing the facilities even though it was fairly busy.
The evening meal was delicious but the portions were a little on the small side for us. We just wanted more, it tasted so good. There was a range of cereals, yoghurt, pastries etc on offer for breakfast in addition to the cooked English breakfast, which was an average breakfast. The staff were great, especially those in the dining hall for our evening meal and our breakfast.
All in all, this was excellent value for money and I would stay here again.

Brilliant stay Everything was perfect for my mum and her friend. They had a relaxing stay, nice food at the on site restaurant and enjoyed the use of the spa facilities and breakfast. Dirty glasses outside of the door but other than that everything was okay.

We have had to take our time to think about what to say in this review because we didn't even know where to start. Since we first booked our wedding back in 2018, Liz and the whole team have been absolutely amazing. There has not been a single request that we have made, from date changes, room changes for the ceremony, guest alterations to even a room change for a bath (the wife's preference) that the team did not do their upmost to cater for. Liz makes you feel that you are the most important person there and every single meeting we had in the build up made us feel that they care about you and your wedding. You are not just a customer but a part of the Last Drop family. We were impressed and blown away from the build up but then came the day itself and we don't know where to begin on this one. We have been to weddings of family and friends before which were all great but could not have imagined for one moment how special this day was going to be. From the very start of our wedding, every single detail was taken care of. There was not a single moment that we could say was the best because Liz and the team made every part of our day so special, including going hunting down the presents that had found their way into the storage room. I will quote what many guests (and the photographer) said..."this is by far the best wedding we have been to or been a part of". That is down to everyone at Last Drop Village and for everything you did for us. If we could get married again week after week we would because that day was the most special day in our lives and it is because of what Liz and everyone at Last Drop did for us. I would highly (and I mean HIGHLY) recommend that any potential couples really consider Last Drop Village for their wedding. We don't see Last Drop as our wedding venue. We see Last Drop as a part of our family and will always be our special place. Craig & Emma ❤️

Enjoyed a 2 night stay booked on the Black Friday offer which was real value. This was a treat to myself for my 70th birthday and I just wanted to relax which I certainly did. The highlight of my stay was my Espa treatment in the Spa. I booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. My therapist was Leanne who was very professional, knowledgeable and caring making sure I got exactly what I needed.
The pool and Thermal Experience were excellent and very therapeutic.
Breakfast and dinner were included in the offer and as a vegan I found they offered a separate menu which was extensive and varied. I especially loved the tempa vegetables from the starter menu.
The staff were friendly and efficient, Reece in particular was really helpful and went above and beyond.
Wifi reception was good and I had no problem parking.

Lovely location and comfy accommodation with quaint buildings and shops. The room was very comfortable and nice and warm as it was a very cold day. We were only there for one day at a family wedding so couldn't take advantage of the spa facilities. The shower was just the large square overhead type which made it difficult to shower without getting your hair wet. A smaller hand held shower attachment with bracket would have been better. We would have expected breakfast to be included at a daily price of £124.

Beds were very comfortable, curtains and carpet shabby , very good service , hotel cozy in general with nice bar , the main and only let down was the kicking out at 11am sharp with very harsh no leeway instructions , it put a dampness to a otherwise very nice stay

Amazing! We took advantage of the fantastic “Thank you” package that is listed under the “offers” section of the website and available to key workers. (List available on website) £99 for 2 adults bed, full breakfast and 2 course evening meal, along with full use of the spa and leisure facilities! The room was ready on our arrival at 2pm, check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and cosy. The bar was nice and relaxed-average prices. The restaurant was amazing! The food was delicious! The spa was lovely too despite being pretty busy we still enjoyed it! All staff we came across were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

We had our wedding here in Feb 23.
We found out 5 weeks before that our original venue closed down, and in a panic called Liz at the last drop.
She immediately said yes to everything we had planned, which was quite unbelievable. We knew straight away we were in good hands and we felt so calm, despite the madness that had happened. We took all her advice and were amazed at what she managed to sort for us in such a short amount of time. Nothing was too much trouble and it was all done with a smile.
I have spent weeks trying to think of words that will justify how amazing everyone was for us, especially Liz, but I'm fairly sure the words don't exist.
The bar and waiting on staff were great and were keen to help.
Nasser was also great as our MC on the day, keeping everything organised. Again, he went above and beyond for us.
The venue itself is beautiful but the staff really made our day everything it was, we will always be grateful.

Stayed here 3 nights with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is well kept and fairly modern, with a lovely spa area featuring multiple sauna/steam rooms, a hot indoor/outdoor pool as well as a normal indoor swimming pool. The food at breakfast and evening meals is excellent.

Drinks are a tad on the pricey side (e.g. no large wine by the glass for under £8 which seems steep) but the service is good and the bar area is cosy.

Room was lovely. Decent size, with comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with bath and shower.

Overall, had a fab time and would definitely recommend.

Staff on reception were lovely, and very helpful. We had a Faimily Room which was a a nice clean large room, with good facilities - it was just a shame about the noise coming from adjoining rooms and main corridor outside the room. Not a brilliant night's sleep

We stayed for a Revive 50 break. After reading comments I was slightly dubious, but what value for money. Room was clean and lovely. Food was excellent. Spa and thermal suite with staggered times not too busy. Treatments amazing. Can't wait to come back.

Nice staff, lovely large clean Family Room - but a bit noisy Friendly reception staff, nice large clean Family Room, large comfy beds. Quite noisy in the morning, and could hear occupants/doors in the adjoining rooms from early in the morning (07:30 onwards). Also quite a noisy corridor outside the room - although this may have been as it was for the Family Rooms, so more children, etc...

We were coming together for our eldest sisters mile stone birthday celebration 7 brothers and sisters with our wifes and husbands and as we were coming from all aound the country the Last Drop was chosen as Bolton is our home town.
Seven of us went to the Bolton v Port Vale match so did not arrive till after 6pm and as our meal was booked for 8pm the spa was not an option. We were all accomodated in the court yard block and superficially the rooms did look ok good bed, decent bathroom, tea /coffee facilitates, safe, iron. However on closer inspection the rooms are very tired looking and in need of a major refurbishment.

The hospitality though was very good, we had a separate dinning room for our party ( I believe this was an extra cost) we did have to pre-order our food selections for starters and mains. Everything was presented in a very smooth and well oiled manner, the staff were very attentive and pleasant.

We retired to the bar area and had a long evening reminiscing and catching up.

Breakfast was of a reasonable standard with most things you would require, but it was not outstanding by any manner and they need to make sur items are replenished and kept at the right temperatures.

We did not get a chance top use the spa on the Sunday due to travel arrangements but I do belive there are issues with access arrangements and booking time slots is necessary at weekends for sure ( please see later review of Spa as we returned on Monday as a couple, a Christmas present from our children).

For the cost of the stay I would have expected everything to be spot on and there certainly needs to be some major investment in the rooms to justify the prices charged. The amount of land that has been taken for building has had a mjaor inpact on the amenities of the whole village feel and a disastrous efect on the once majestic views of the surronding country side.

We stayed in February 2023 and it was lovely. Restful nights sleep, spa was lovely, food was great. Only downside was the view in the infinity pool, houses are built right in-front but it didn't really spoil the experience just a shame really but i would recommend.

Stayed in my own room temporarily, due to house shared with my mother beimg flooded. All staff generally very friendly, cannot remember all the names, but Jean and all the reception staff were helpful and polite, as were Rhys (very nice guy) on the bar and all the other bar and breakfast crew. A bit busy in the mornings, but not their fault due to hotel being busy. Stephen and the female spa receptionist and the other spa staff also friendly and polite. Housekeeping crew also friendly, despite quite the workload each day, and Daniel the f and b manager sympathetic and a good listener, and Gerry the hotel manager, very attentive in general, and understanding of the situation, despite being busy with a 24/7 operation. The only issues were the crowding in the thermal pool, and noise through the walls of the rooms and banging/slamming of doors, and loud talking late at night in the corridors, but I accept that is beyond the control of the staff. Will pop back in for a drink in the courtyard bar again, and would recommend it as a place to relax for a night or two as a break.

A most enjoyable 2 night family spa break. The room was clean and comfortable with all the facilities that you would require. Check in/out was easy.
All the staff were professional and friendly.
All dining experiences were faultless.
Would not hesitate to revisit.
