We stayed in February for my wife’s birthday. Although overall it was fine, there was no hot water in our room so had to shower back at the spa. Also as it was busy we had to queue for the spa facilities rather than have unlimited access!

Loved it. Booked as a treat for my mum. Staff were very courteous and helpful . A beautiful place in Nice surroundings. We enjoyed the surrounding countryside. Beautiful food. Highly recommended. Should be available on the NHS. Good value for money

Have ruined the location by a housing estate having been built on the surrounding land blocking the views.

brilliant 5 star review from me. I like everything it’s amazing. BUT I disagree with one thing, the ladies do not have a private changing room. for people who are body conscious . I had to go in the toilet to get changed with a number of other lady’s wanting to do the same thing. you need at-least 2 private changing rooms with a curtain. everything else is 100% 5star. thanks for my stay but it would be nice for you to think about people like me who don’t like to get changed in front of other woman. Arrived to be told we had to book a time to use the spa but they only had one time available that clashed with our evening meal slot (which they refused to move). So despite us booking their 'spa break offer' we were unable to use the spa facilities. The manager gave us a bottle of wine to apologise which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the next day we discovered at our spa treatment that we should have had dressing gowns and slippers in our room, and the staff refused to provide us with one. Some of the staff were very inattentive - the worst being when I was totally ignored by the bar man for about 5 minutes whilst he continued to walk past me several times and i was the only person at the bar. Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend (valentines), however, we had booked a spa break and so i'd expect them to have capacity for us to have a spa break. I'm sure the experience is much better if you go on a quieter weekend, but i certainly wouldn't recommend going for a special occasion as they were overwhelmed and disorganised, they'd clearly significantly overbooked numbers on the spa.

We stayed here for a wedding we were attending also at this venue. The facilities were fantastic, the food was excellent and the overall service was fantastic. Staff were friendly, welcoming and supportive. Would definitely stay again!

Character Hotel on the edge of scenic hills but close to Bolton/Manchester. The Spa and Pool were very popular and busy but with timed access slots it meant all got to use the facilities. Restaurant food was great, large portions and tasty. Buffet Breakfast was good too, efficient service even though it was busy.

Brilliant value for money on lovely grounds. Had a spa weekend with the Mrs in the middle of Jan and we loved it. Spa access was much needed and we both left feeling very relaxed. Would definitely recommend staying here or even going for the day to use the spa facilities. Meal in the evening was delicious too

Rooms in the hotel were tired and needed updating but were clean. Spa was basic. But the treatment rooms and the treatment itself were very good. Food was excellent, in the pub at lunch, the evening meal and also breakfast. Good value overall for the overnight spa break. We were lucky with an amazing sunset during our stay.

Nice hotel for a one night stay. The Spa facilities were nice, and staff were friendly. The bar and restaurant looked lovely with a nice atmosphere, albeit we didn't have the chance to make use. The room was clean and spacious. The pillows were very uncomfortable, which left both my friend and I with aching necks and headaches, and it was extremely hot in the night. The doors also slam shut every time. In the middle of the night I was woke up a number of times by other guests talking in the corridor and going in their room. it actually makes the bed shake a little when the door slams. I also would say that in the thermal spa, there was some really inappropriate behaviour by other couples, which made it uncomfortable and awkward for us and other guests. Another lady and her daughter got out and left because she felt too uncomfortable. I appreciate you can't control peoples behaviour, but having some supervision of that area might help. Everyone is entitled to enjoy the facilities without feeling like they are in someone's bedroom. On a final point, we arrived in the evening, around 6pm and there wasn't enough parking. We had to perch on the very end where there wasn't a space, which wasn't ideal.

Friendly helpful syaff, comfy bed and the breakfast was really good. The room and parts of the hotel were quite dated and tired but the spa was lovely.
The room wasnt turned over though (we stayed 2 night's) which was a shame.

Decent spa weekend. Amazing spa treatments. Incredible hot tub pool. Comfy, big room. Poor thermal suites. Poor menu options. Poor staff communication skills. Decent price. Would consider staying again.

Just got back from a fantastic night away at the Last Drop Hotel and Spa. We were in room 80, which was absolutely fantastic, clean and spacious with a lovely bathroom. We used the spa and had a 30 min couples back massage, used the swimming pool (which felt a little on the cool side) and the thermal Spa. Due to the Hotel being so busy we had to book in slots to use it, which was fine by us, but it was still rather busy. The hotel upgraded us free of charge to the ' Valentine's Ball in the evening - rather than the 2 course meal we had previously booked. There was a DJ who played some pretty cheesy music (mostly from the 80s) but we enjoyed the night and even had a quick dance. The breakfast the following day was also delicious and plentiful. All the staff we met were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return here, but probably mid week so it would be a bit quieter.
