Decent Room price and breakfast OK.
Drinks prices very expensive.
Residents Bar extremely poor service.

Great place! Only drawbacks were a temporary loss of cold water one morning and two minor maintenance-related issues (one light bulb not working, missing toilet paper holder which was replaced next day). Otherwise a great place! Lovely room and great staff.

Staying for a nearby wedding. Was hoping to use what looked like a very nice pool but didn't get the time. Room was clean, good size with sofa and desk, bed was comfortable, free wifi worked for the most part. Room décor was a little dated, shower water temperature was inconsistent, hot in the evening but struggled in the morning. Staff were very helpful with my requests for assistance. Grounds were very nice and green, didn't get chance to enjoy them first-hand. Taxis are expensive.

Stayed the night before and the night of my wedding (we did not get married on the premises). The bridal suite (Lancaster) was a little dated and could really do with brightening up, but I could not fault the services of the staff nor the quality of the food in the restaurant (NOT the pub). Lovely surroundings and a very pleasant stay overall.

Really enjoyed a spa day with my mum. I have just booked a best friend one too. Lovely treatments. lunch and a hot pool with open air so you can see the countryside and breath in the fresh air.

We booked this hotel again after visiting 20 years ago, for our anniversary. We can not recommend highly enough, the Staff are all lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were very surprised on the 1st evening when answering a knock on the door to be met with two glasses of Prosecco and congratulations from the management, a lovely gesture !
Will not leave it 20 years to visit again !!

Very nice, would like a shower without having to stand in a bath though, overall pleasant stay.

The third time I have stopped and as with the last stays it was brilliant. Could not fault anything apart from the noisy corridors to and from the rooms but the hotel staff, rooms, food and facilities out way any down sides. Will be bringing the wife!

Highs and lows seems to be a common theme at this hotel for us. room 105 was distinctly musty and damp smelling - so much so the cleaner left the window open every day. good job it was a mild autumn. leisure centre now takes U16's in the evenings if they're well behaved - worked perfectly for us. room next door kept us awake one of the nights until the early hours with unaccompanied children shouting and screaming.

We've stayed here many times and overall still love this place.

The pool and sauna etc are great. The breakfasts are very good - though it seems recently they've stopped providing a menu to order specific less usual items like porridge and kippers. Now it seems just the buffet style fare is available.

We had a family room with double bed and two singles; very nice. Only 2 plug sockets though, which is not much for an average modern family with several devices. Also, one of the bedside lamps did not have a switch at all so had to be physically plugged in/unplugged - not very safe/easy to use for guests such as children or the elderly.

The shower's hot water was dicey; suddenly becoming freezing or boiling.

We were lucky to arrive on the day they had their bonfire/fireworks event, which was great, and free to join as guests.

I used to stay at the Hotel attached to the Macroon Stadium. Its of a similar service standard but a lot more friendlier. Rooms are clean and the staff are helpful.

This is now my preferred hotel in the area. Just a side not of caution, there are 2 mecure hotels in the area make sure you select the correct one otherwise your on the other side of bolton 10 miles away.

Noisy staff in room above in the early hours. Lovely location but need a car as a bit remote. Nice hotel but a bit tired. In need of a refurb. Common areas nice.

Overall good but three issues. Claimed WiFi available in all rooms. Not available in our room for 3 days (reception couldn't solve). Bath dangerous - no shower mat. Bar prices extortionate

Stayed overnight in a courtyard room. Clean, welcoming, nice bathroom but just in need of modernisation. Lovely modern white bedding but lose the floral valance and floral curtains and the room would be so much more bijou!
Delicious breakfast!

We recently went for a 3 night break meeting up with family and left after two nights. We had dinner on the Friday night in the bar and the food took forty minutes to arrive and, when it did, it was cold. Having complained to the F&B manager he assured us that he would make sure that dinner in the restaurant on the Saturday night would be exemplary. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep this promise as the food once again was served no more than lukewarm. The rooms, we stayed in an Executive double, are nice and spacious but the beds are some of the most uncomfortable that we have ever slept in. They provide tea and coffee making facilities but these were not refreshed for our second day. Drinks in the bar, the pub was closed on both Friday and Saturday, are very expensive (5* prices for a 3* hotel) and somewhat limited - no cask ale (although they advertise their own brand) and no malt whisky. All in all, despite a re-visit offer as recompense, this is one hotel that we are unlikely to visit again in the future

The Mercure Last Drop does a job, a little tired in places and will need a refurb in a few years but it is reasonably priced and good value for money. The staff in the breakfast room were effecient rather than friendly and the breakfast was ok without being stunning. We were at the hotel during a visit to Bolton at a wedding so didn't spend much time there but it was fine for our needs. Excellent room with powerful shower.
