Refurb rooms could be better but on the whole, a great hotel
Second time back within a few weeks, This time the room was much better on the 2nd floor having been refurblished but negative points on that below. Otherwise, a much better experience, staff very friendly and helpful. Location and parking was fine although parking was a bit sparce as they were quite busy. Breakfast nice, plenty on offer and nice, tasty food.
Refurb rooms still a bit to go. Although better than my last stay, paint splashes on the door handles, silicone sealant around the sink must have been done by a child, the bathroom doors are smaller than standard size but they had one lick of paint and they are falling apart (like the last room i stayed in) and peeling due to the steam. Seems like the contractors got 80% of the way there and gave up but generally, a nice, comfortable room and i admit, i am being picky here.

Really lovely rooms and ours was a great size, very friendly staff, good breakfast and just a ten-minute stroll to the train station to get into Manchester. Perfect for our weekend in Manchester, where you pay a lot more for a lot less hotel!
