Nice well maintained hotel on the edge of the town about 15 minutes from the station. Rooms were well decorated. Food was good. Breakfast was good although coffee machine was not working, so only had filter coffee from a jug as substitute. Drinks at the bar were quite expensive. Leisure club available but no pool. Didn't take a car but onsite parking available.

Comfy rooms
Friendly staff at the front desk Rooms came ready equipped with things I needed such as an iron and an ironing board. Rooms were really comfy with plenty of lighting options for winding down/waking up etc.
Mugs left in room weren't clean and had coffee/tea stains on them. Parking wasn't the easiest.

I have to have a gluten free diet and staff were very knowledgeable and accomodating. They asked everyone if they have specific allergies and for me offered gluten free options they had in stock. I will definitely be returning here!

Nicely located, arrived after check in hours and was dealt with quickly without any issues.
Easy to navigate to rooms.
One thing to note. The car park isn't great for parking. If you're not a confident driver, avoid the car park and find somewhere else.
However, that being said, it's sheltered and seems like a safe place to park.

Room comfortable and cosy but reception not too good.
The breakfast was really good and staff in for it were very pleasant
Could not get response from reception when in car park on three occasions despite repeated attempts. On arrival - no one in reception on arrival - 2 staff said hello but no one to book in with.

We needed a hotel last minute due to car problems. Annie could not have been more helpful and considerate of our predicament. Excellent customer service and hospitality. In addition the rooms were perfect and the breakfast of a high standard.

We first stayed in 2019 and had a wonderful experience. When we returned in December 2022 it was a no-brainer...we would return to the sane spot. We were certainly not disappointed with everything being so available from this location and the warm hospitality we received.

POOR ORGANISATION
We liked the room, very comfortable bed, brilliant hot shower. We would like to single out Alpesh, the Hotel Porter. He is very pleasant and helpful and works really hard to make your stay better
The bar was extremely poorly stocked and the breakfast on the Sunday morning was very badly organised. Unless you were very lucky to pounce on the buffet as it had been filled up, there was nothing left most times

Good central location. Free parking. Good rooms and friendly service. On the minus side even though it has had a refurbishment in places it's still a bit old in most. The rooms are a bit small, especially the bathrooms. There are fake curtains in the ros and a blackout blind that means you can't have the window open at night and darkness, you have to decide which one you want. It was very quiet when I visited on a Thursday night, dinner and breakfast were a bit lonely!

Stayed here on a Friday night and it was in a good location, central to the town. Staff were friendly, the room was clean although the heating seemed uncontrollable so it’s fair to say the duvet wasn’t needed.
Would definitely stay again for business or leisure.
