I had a wonderful stay at mercure hotel blackburn,its was clean ,comfortable and above all friendly staff, a special mention must go to semoyal who made our family stay exceptional and answered our all questions and made us feel valued.

Can not comment on the rooms but if they are like the spa area then 3 stars
While the staff that met us were friendly and accommodating in reception the spa area and changing rooms could do with an upgrade.
Rusty pipe work and grouting desperately need looking at and upgrading
The restaurant area looked nice but didn’t eat.
The facilities such as the steam rooms and sauna were nice and the pool area.
The chairs again could do with being upgraded
We had booked for a massage was mean to be 25 minutes the lady who did mine only spent 20 minutes as I checked my phone upon starting it was 11am and finished must of been before 11.20 as I lay there for a little bit then check my phone was short changed on the massage.
The relaxation room after the chairs you could tell where people had their heads lay on it they need washing regularly

First visit to Dunkenhalgh hotel with my partner , lovely building and spa was amazing, a special thank to semoyal who made our stay memorable,showed us the old part of hotel and guided us to the room. Will visit again

We had a fantastic evening at Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa on Sunday 19th April. I’d recommended it to three fellow studio owners who booked in and it didn’t disappoint. From pre-dinner drinks with the lovely Mal to a warm welcome and chat from Head Chef Sean about the carvery, everything felt spot on. The food was absolutely delicious and the service from Amanda, Eden and Sara made the whole evening feel relaxed and special. I’ll definitely be back for that carvery!

Great reception team tonight, Julia & Arica. Been coming here 20 years on and off and pleased to say the restaurant has had a major turnaround for the better in the past year or so.

Beautiful hotel with great service and facilities! We were assisted by Sam who made our experience amazing. Me and a friend visited to celebrate both our 30th birthdays and had a wonderful facial in the spa. We also ordered the rose wine to our room which was delicious! The breakfast buffet was also exceptional.

Older hotel I had a room out the back so weren’t as soundproof as I’d like but comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were both great and the staff were lovely. Pool is nice and the spa area was much bigger than I expected, especially loved the water feature which added to the tranquillity of it all! Plenty of parking too

Didnt stay in the hotel itself but went for a spa day . As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a lovely young girl who offered us orange juice while we waited . This was the best value Spa day ever! Great facilities, included a 55 minute face and body massage which was amazing by the way and highly recommended, use of all the facilities followed by afternoon tea in the lovely bar area... was amazing value for money and would highly recommended trying here instead of paying over the odds elsewhere ..

I was there for a training session on 4 consecutive days. Stunning portrait room, the staff were very nice and helpful with whatever we asked for. I have to mention Aziz and his colleague from the opposite day which helped extensively with whatever we asked.

Recently stayed for 2 nights whilst touring the area by motorcycle.
Staff were helpful and courteous.
The rooms were clean and well presented.
The food and meals were tasty and of a high standard.
The gym/spa was very welcome and much appreciated.

We first heard of this hotel through an events company and soon realised that this was the perfect location for us to hold our companies 40th Anniversary.
Upon my first visit to look around, I was amazed to discover that the hotel was over 700 hundred years old. The hotel is stunning set in it's own grounds with an ideal function room - We had The Pendle Suite, a great bar area, a super spa and even a courtyard style village.
On the day of our check in it ran very smooth with all the rooms being different and every single one was clean, spacious with little to no noise.
From start to finish of our weekend celebrations, the team could not do enough for us, they were very accommodating, patient and attentive and we would like to give a big shout out to all the team - Jess, Edwina, Chuti, Sam, Arica, Priya, Mia, Chloe, Danielle, Mike, John, Sean, Charlie, Daisy, Kim, Caden, Liam, Sofia, Luke, Neil, Wanla, sorry if we missed anyone.
You really need to give yourselves a pat on the back as you truly made it a special weekend for us, with us receiving numerous compliments from our staff, customers and suppliers on how much they enjoyed this weekend.
We will definitely be revisiting when it comes to holding any of our other functions, so thank you again Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa.

We stayed here whilst visiting family so a great location. Facilities were clean and tidy and brilliant to have the use of the leisure area. We were welcomed by Julia who gave all the information we needed.
