Fantastic evening meal. Room lovely. Robes provided. Breakfast was a let down and super busy. If the hotel is busy they would be better to book breakfast times. Staff awesome. Drinks expensive. £26 for two double gins. Grounds stunning, great location.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We loved everything about our stay at the Dunk. Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, comfy beds, delicious food and very relaxed atmosphere. Only problem was the bad Wi-Fi.

Had an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. The hotel is in nice surroundings and has a quality feel about it. Our room was terrific - a huge suite with lots of space, a very comfortable bed and a bathroom the size of some entire hotel bedrooms!
The restaurant is classy and the food is good. The restaurant was a little overwhelmed on the night of our visit - a lot of guests for a relatively small staff group to cope with. But they remained professional and attentive throughout.
Breakfast was generous and tasty and good value for money.
Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Arrived with a friend to celebrate our birthdays and retirement for a spa day with afternoon tea and treatments. Firstly can I say the staff from walking through the door to spa reception and spa staff amazing talented people who know how to treat a guest. Afternoon tea was delayed as manager was not happy with product how good is that. Room good sized bed and bathroom bath and separate shower Yes!. Problem started early hours with noise of people in and our of rooms then morning arrived no hot water so boil a kettle time this made us late for breakfast .where we were faced with dregs of breakfast when someone is paying the hotel price for breakfast. The service area should look like it has just opened. This was a big turn off and frankly spoiled our second day we were going to use pool again but my friend was so annoyed she wanted to leave straight away so I was then forced to leave. Little things that spoil a stay take on board suggestion mecure

We loved the hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room and bathroom were fantastic. We had everything we needed and more and it was very clean. The pool and steam rooms plus the gym were an extra bonus. Loved our stay and will definitely be back

My friend and I stayed here as a bit of a last minute decision. We are not accustomed to hotel life but we had a wonderful experience. First impressions were so grand as the hotel looks stunning on approach. Inside is just as beautiful with original old manor house features everywhere. Our room was a good walk from the reception but we didn't mind this at all as it meant we had a lovely view of fields from the window. It was also very quiet although the room was incredibly hot (we were in a heat wave!) so perhaps some air con would be a good investment.
We were disappointed to learn after booking that the spa facilitates were out of order for a refurb but really this didn't affect our experience as due to the heat we were unlikely to use the sauna/steam room anyway and the pool and gym were still very much functioning. The gym is beautiful in the cellar of the hotel with all the kit you need and lovely private areas for you to do your workout in peace. The pool was a little overcrowded so not big enough for serious lengths but certainly a nice way to relax and cool off. It was slightly heated so I imagine it being lovely and warm in the winter too.
The food was wonderful - we took advantage of the 3 course meal offer on our first night. Olivia was our waitress and she was so friendly from start to finish. She gave us excellent service and gave us the most wonderful local recommendations. We also had breakfast included which was your classic fry up, fruit and yoghurt, cereals and pastries. The staff were very attentive to teas and coffees and keeping the food topped up.
We also didn't have to pay for parking. This was an excellent bonus. I'm not sure why but we were told it was free as long as we entered our details, which we did. Outrageous to have to pay to park somewhere you are already paying to stay at so this was a good feature which I hope they keep.
All in all we were definitely stay here again - the room and bed were very comfortable and we loved the smell of the signature soap/shampoo/conditioner. Our only recommendation is to stock all three in the changing room showers please!

Staff were exceptionally helpful didn't like the rust on metal poles holding the glass borders in the pool area and our cream tea was very nice apart from the scones which were small and dry otherwise a lovely day

Staff were so attentive especially Sara who went out of her way to create cocktails for me and being amazingly chatty and bubbly.
All the staff just seemed so happy to be there and wanted to do all they could to make your stay amazing.
We opted for the overnight spa stay for 2 which included dinner and breakfast.
Food was amazing, the natural products used in the spa treatments have done wonders for my skin.
Set in beautiful grounds.
I just wish we could have stayed an extra night.
We are already working out dates to go back.

This could be potentially a lovely place, but we did encounter a lot of little issues. All were resolved by staff, however it did make the trip a little stressful. Our room key didn't work, we were moved into a different room. The spa brochure on the website is out of date prices are now higher. Pool was very busy and couldn't only be accessed after you checked in and before you checked out otherwise additional charges were applied.
Food was amazing. So tasty and varied in its choice. Rooms themselves were super comfortable and spacious. High quality toiletries too, but soap wasn't filled up. All in all, we had a good stay but it wasn't perfect.

This is a lovely hotel but I'm sad to say it's not as good as it used to be. Saunas and steam rooms have been closed for nearly a year and there were just a lot of little niggles (no coat hangers, towels or tissues in the room, towels not provided at pool, cold bacon etc etc). All trivial but they mounted up). Will probably stay elsewhere next time.
