Slept in a double room, The room I had was a touch small but not too small at all. Still plenty of room and one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. Safe to say I slept really well and woke up feeling perfectly refreshed, even after the amount I drank the night before. The only downside was the bar... £10+ for a double rum and coke.

El hotel está situado dentro de un gigantesco castillo inglés rodeado por un espectacular campo. Posee un spa, multitud de salas para eventos, dos restaurantes y otros servicios secundarios en la habitación. La comida muy buena y elaborada y el personal amable y dispuesto a ayudar. Los puntos negativos: muchas de las habitaciones tenían un mobiliario anticuado, había ruido de cañerías y las más cercanas al spa junto con el pasillo olían al cloro de la piscina. El precio final que tuvimos que pagar, no se correspondía con el precio que ofertaban en Internet pues había que abonar una fianza de doscientas libras de las que no habíamos tenido noticia hasta el día de la confirmación de reserva.

Just completing our 2nd night of our spa break at the Mercure Blackburn ....experience has Ben first class....great executive room with plenty of freebies.....Spa treatments over 2 days were first class and not rushed...very professional staff and pool facilities spot on....Evening meals well presented and quality food...Our waitress Nicole, over both nights was a great host and very knowledgeable. ...Would recommend this hotel and Spa to all our friends....Robin and Jackie.

Staff are amazing and so is the building. However, food was pretty dire (very dry, clearly reheated chicken breast) room looks a bit tired, although the bathroom doesn't? Also, ethernet connection for high speed internet, in every room? Surely that money could've been spent else where seems as the Wi-Fi is already pretty decent!
