Attention to detail required to the spa. Only minor issues, so overall pretty good.

Fairly standard large hotel. Food is nice but isn't anything special and the decor is quite dated. The rooms are fairly large and get cleaned daily which makes it nice to come back to. There isn't a lot to do in the area and it's a 10 minute walk to the nearest town. Sometimes things in the rooms don't work properly.

Went for a wedding was a nice do.
Been prior to this for a weekend spa, all can eat breakfast which is lovely a choice between full English / toast / cereals / fruits ... the room we stayed in was nice with a kettle and biscuites. Free WiFi

Have just returned after a two night stay, would like to say that as a colleague from another mecure hotel I was disappointed with the front of house staff and especially the leisure staff that were working Saturday morning.i found them to be very unhelpful,as I had booked for a spa treatment but was not told where to go ,I found the correct place to sit for ten minutes as there was no one at the desk.after going back to reception I was told to wait in relaxation room fully clothed as I was not offered a gown to wear.needless to say I cancelled my treatment.on a good note the food and beverage staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was good the room was clean and spacious albeit a long trek from bar and restaurant

It is okay place but the spa facilities can be a bit hit and miss. Problem with the swimming pool being cold for quite a few months. Eventually mended but we don't know for how long. It needs doing up, we pay a lot of money for the membership and things keep breaking and taking a long time to mend.
